We wanted to go to a holiday resort during our 1 week holiday, but due to COVID-19 we didn’t dare to take the risk of booking in advance and the prices of those holiday resorts has risen through the roof. Instead we chose to go to NH Koningshof Veldhoven, a hotel which we knew from our years whilst practising sports, and we found very comfy. Only this time we would have time to enjoy the comforts of this lovely hotel, e.g. the swimming pool, the long corridors (we like it!) and the nice surroundings, together with our 5-year old daughter. We booked 2 nights on the day of arrival and added 1 night because it suited us so well. We had a few wonderful days together and were happy to see the COVID-19 rules were taken in good consideration and we still could use the facilities of the hotel.

My 8th stay in Koningshof. This time the hotel was really busy but it was not a problem thanks to it's spacious area. Breakfast as always almost ideal, also for vegetarians. To make it absolutely perfect I would introduce freshly squashed orange and grapefruit juice. I had no problem to find suitable time slot for swimming despite large number of guests. You will never have problem with parking and price for 24 hours is just 5 Euro. Watching new-born hares is common activity nowadays in Koningshof.

Great hotel we’ve stayed at in the past and recently made a repeat visit. It’s an interesting site, formerly a monastery and is very pleasant and leafy.
The site is very big and rooms are spread out over a large area however it’s easy to navigate and staff are very helpful to explain your location.
It is possible to park in different wings of the hotel, closer to your room if you need to.
Restaurant, bar and a small mini-mart are on site, reasonably priced.
The gym and pool / sauna are excellent and a major plus point for this hotel. Ample size, nice pool and sauna. There are also squash courts available for an extra fee.
The rooms are clean and comfortable, good shower, with tea & coffee making facilities. Television had main channels available from various countries including UK.
Only thing I would say is there is a charge for parking on-site, which is unfortunate as the hotel is set out of town and there is no real alternative. It’s not too much though and doesn’t detract from a great venue.
If I’m in the area in the future, I will certainly return again.

Holiday booked over a year ago.
Travelled since 0200, arrived 12.00midday, no rooms available until 19.30, though booked from 14.00. Left all that time sitting in a corridor,.
Twice given room key, took own luggage up to room, each time still wet towels, full bins, unmade bed, uncleaned room from previous occupants. No manager available whole visit. No complaint forms or facilities. Most Reception staff brusque, arrogant , unhelpful and made one feel guilty for asking for what one had booked and paid for. Tour reps furious and received no help on our behalf either.
Hotel in the middle of nowhere. After days out and long journey had no energy to walk 20minutes to nearby village for a meal. Hotel Restaurant fully booked one night, next time notice appeared- closed until sometime in August. No apology , or sorry for the inconvenience. No option but too eat in their overpriced buffet!!
Would not recommend this hotel to anyone..

My family and I stayed at this hotel for one night to break up a relatively long drive. Having stayed at NH hotels in Maastricht and Nunspeet, as well as in Spain, we were very disappointed with the quality of the room at this hotel. After all, I chose to stay at a chain hotel with the expectation of uniform standards.
We arrived past 10 p.m. and were very tired, particularly our 5-year old daughter. The first impression of a hotel room as you open the room door leaves a lasting impact, and we were dismayed by the smell of body odor. At the very least, the room was not properly aerated.
Moreover, the room was extremely dusty. There was visible dust in the corners and on the bathroom shelf beneath the mirror.
I promptly complained to Jeroen to place the issues on the record but I pointed out that we were all too tired to transfer rooms at that point. He initially offered a 12-month voucher for a free room upgrade at the same hotel. I pointed out that it was unlikely that we would return to this hotel after our experience. He then offered a 6-month upgrade voucher valid in various countries but unfortunately not in Spain. I requested a voucher for lunch instead but was told the hotel did not serve lunch.
While the NH hotel had air conditioning, this hotel and the one in Nunspeet did not. It took a while for the room to cool down to a comfortable level.
On a positive note, breakfast was excellent with a spread of delicious warm food.
I paid EUR 150 for one night with breakfast. I would not recommend this hotel.
The bed was large and comfortable, although it is relatively light, such that it moves away from the wall as you sit up in it and lean against the wall/headboard.

A very clean, spacious hotel but that's about it. This hotel in my opinion does not cater for its guests very well. We arrived early at 11.30. We were told our rooms would be ready soon (I am aware the policy of the hotel is check in at 5pm) we were then told not before 1pm then 2.30 eventually given the key just before 5pm. During this time there was nowhere in the hotel to purchase a meal, the coffee machines weren't working either. We were informed that there was a village down the road half an hour walk or a bus every 30min. That may have been ok if we had been able to shower or had a room to change into but we were only offered a place to store our bags, we'd been travelling since 2am.
The hotel had 2 options for food in the evening. A buffet or al a carte. The a la cart was nice but didn't open every evening we were there. The bar didn't open until late afternoon. Breakfast was good however gluten free foods were not available or were not shown with a note at all. Rooms were nice. I think a hotel of this size should have amenities available throughout the day for those not wishing to walk or bus it to the next village. Quite poor overall

This 500+ rooms large hotel is located in Veldhoven, 15 minutes drive from the city of Eindhoven. An old convent converted to a business hotel, used mainly by companies in the area for meetings, conferences and workshops. When there are no meetings and in weekends it’s calm and quiet in here. Spread in a large area there are many buildings connected with long corridors. Since there is nothing other than the hotel here, it’s required to have a car, if you wish to go out for dinner etc.
We stayed 3 nights in August with family members in superior rooms. The rooms are spacious, well furnished and equipped. There were some construction ongoing but the guests are not effected or disturbed. Gym and pool are open and can be used with a reservation. Breakfast had many choices including cold and hot dishes. Sunday’s breakfast is open till noon.
This is an ideal hotel for a relaxed stay and get pampered.

The take away "breakfast" is very poor. Poor toppings on the bread, not finished with any care and detail.

Really convenient on the route to/from the EuroTunnel is this great hotel with a very service minded staff, newly renovated, well maintained. Lots of room with even spacy yet long corridors (large hotel). Great food! Lots of value for money! And not least: Great atmosphere and absolutely not noisy.

The hotel was large, but for that there were a number of nice amenities. Restaurant available, good dog walking in the grounds. The room was equipped with a dog bed and dog toy, which our labrador loved and made him comfortable immediately. Comfortable and clean hotel for our purposes for a stop over. Would recommend and we will use again.

The best you can do is request a room in the 100 or 200 section. Both sections are on the 1st floor and are near to the front desk and breakfast restaurant.
