Being back in Breda for another week of lecturing at the NHTV, means also staying in " De Klok ", which is our Dutch " home away from home ". With all the rooms now renovated the hardware is great, but more importantly, the software is fantastic. The genuine smiles of the staff, starting with breakfast and then during all...

They have their own restaurant on the ground floor and this is where you check in. The bedroom and bathroom are clean, properly renovated and comfortable for a night or two, no issue. The only possible issue is revellers' shouting and screaming from the outside in Grote Markt as we were here in Christmas festive season. Thanks to the reviewers'...

We stayed one night during our short cycling tour of Holland. Central Breda is a lovely place and the hotel sits on a wide, attractive, bustling, pedestrianised area near a beautiful church. The hotel was clean and characterful and the service was excellent. The staff even encouraged us to take our bikes to our rooms even though there was a...

Lovely typically Dutch hotel. Very clean with friendly staff. Right in the middle of Breda with all the restaurants and bars on your doorstep. Don't let proximity of the church put you off as the clock stops chiming in middle of the night till about 7. Car park is approx 5 minute walk away and the hotel gives you a...

The hotel is located on the main square within walking distance to several pleasant restaurants and many nice retail establishments. The breakfast included traditional Dutch fare including wonderful breads, meats and cheeses as well as the chocolate sprinkles. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The good: - The hotel is located in the city centre, which is picturesque. This means that customers benefit from being in close proximity to a number of restaurants, cafes and bars, as well as the street market and the Grote Kerk (a gothic church). - Only a short walk from the train station (less than 20 minutes). This is...

My wife and myself recently visited Beda for the jazz festival as we have done for the past five years, only this time we were lucky enough to stay in the Stadshotel de klok. The hotel is located in the centre of town which was ideal for our purposes as the entertainment was all around this area. This must be...

We stayed for 1 night. The hotel is located in the very center, on a nice square. There is the market in this square on Friday morning, where you can buy cheese for a very competitive price. Our room was big, airy and comfortable - we stayed in a tripple overlooking the square.

Hotel is very centrally located, the busy noise of market square and bells of nearby Grote Kerk create perfect mood. The triple was large, clean, comfortable and large, with traditional upward opening Dutch windows. Hotel serves excellent breakfast in the antique atmosphere of restaraunt De Colonie at the ground floor.

At first, I had some trouble figuring out that the entrance to the hotel was via the restaurant. Odd, but okay. I was checked in immediately, and the staff were friendly and spoke excellent English. My room was up one flight of stairs, and was renovated. Quite large, comfortable, and clean, it was very enjoyable. No view to speak of,...
