We booked a family room for one night to celebrate a friends birthday. We had contact upfront our stay to make sure we had a little surprise on our room, bottle of wine, some balloons and a birthday card. We confirmed with the hotel by phone, by e-mail and once more by phone. When we arrived nothing was there. Also the room was really not clean at all. The floors were sticky, dust everywhere, and the worst thing was it smelled like cigarettes. So this was where we had to celebrate her birthday really disappointing. We already went down to tell the reception about the room and we got a free drink but, and also next morning a real friendly guy gave us back 25 euro's for the parking. But after all we paid like 260 euro for this one night in a sticky room so I think that is far too much. I will place my review on tripadviser as well as I'm not happy after this weekend. Most annoying thing, I reveived an email from the hotel where they asked me for feedback. I filled it in and send it back. Didn't hear anything back so why are they asking?…
Can you start your stay any better than with a glass of Prosecco upon check in, excellent ! The hotel is right in the town centre but remarkably quiet at night. Once inside the hotel you will see a lot of things that are reminding you of the hotels previous destination, a cinema. A huge cinema projector in the breakfast hall and various subtle details remind you about the past. We booked last minute and paid too much for the room, too expensive at 200 euro per night, for just a common weekend, though still enjoyed our stay.
We booked two rooms to see Andre Rieu in July this year. but recently received notification the local council have cancelled the concerts. Andre is honouring his tickets next year but this hotel seems to think they can hang onto pretty much all our money after refusing to move our booking to the corresponding dates next year. They say they have a "policy" which permits this but I question its legality. I would strongly recommend you all take your business elsewhere.
fine hotel in center - interesting cinematic history of the hotel, superbly implemented in the interior - parking houses very close (unfortunately very expensive) - great breakfast (just a bit expensive per person). .....We will love to stay here again !
Great place to stay, wonderful details, delicious breakfast, nice bar, friendly people working there. It is a little bit tricky to get close to the hotel by car, but even the railway p+r is not to far away. Hope to get there again.
