Spend the night here after giving a talk for a student union. Spartan, but fully functional room, excellent shower room, OK bed, free WiFi, nice self-service breakfast.
Rooms face a square with bars, sure, and they make noise, but the management thoughtfully provides ear plugs....More
The majority of rooms face onto an enclosed quadrangle/square, in which is an extremely popular pub and a very busy restaurant. In decent weather everyone is outside and the echoes of shouted conversations bounce around and into the hotel rooms. Bear in mind this is...More
Very nice hotel owned by Groningen University. Basic and clean. Perfectly located in the city centre. WIFI is ok. Very kind and polite staff. A little noisy because of some pubs nearby. Better take a room exposed to the opposite side. Appropriate price. I recommend...More

It's a proper hotel with all the usual amenities. The continental breakfast was even pretty decent. I didn't have any problems controlling the temps and it was absolutely quiet when I visited this summer but the weather was mild and I had an inner courtyard room. The hotel had the fastest wifi speeds I've ever experienced anywhere in the world. If you can find the alley that the entrance is on, it's a great central base for the city.
