Most things in the hotel were pretty standard. The location was amazing. The food is pretty good and the bike rental option was great. The internet is horrible. Furthermore, the staff is generally not very hospitable.

The hotel is a standard hotel which provides everything I expect from a hotel used primarily for visitors on business. The breakfast has sufficient choice and was as expected. It is only 10 mins walk to the city center. As it is next to the academic hospital there is the occasional sirene. Overall: decent and clean hotel but nothing really... More

Loved the contemporary design, hours and selection at bistro restaurant, and friendly staff. Location is in walking district of many shops and restaurants. Quick cab or bus ride to/from train station.

You can get nights under 100€ but the breakfast will cost you 17,5€ per night. Rooms were bit of a dissapointment as they are looking out dated. Otherwise hotel is on a quiet area but still close to the centrum.

Unfortunately this place turned out to be a terrible dissappontment. The location is good and only a short walk from the center. Room was ok and spacious enough. But it is even hard to describe how arregate and unfriendly the front desk staff was! I have faced better service in early 90's in Russia! No manners at all! The breakfast... More

We originally booked 4 nights and changed to 2 upon arrival with no problem whatsoever. The staff was very nice and very helpful. The breakfast was superior with soooo many choices of cheese, fruit juices, eggs, meats and sweets. We were walking distance to the square downtown and many restaurants and shops. The bedding was very nice with modern appointments... More

This is clearly an hotel is desperate need of good management. Things kicked off badly on check-in, being presented with a computer-readable form in which you must write in block letters all the details you have already input when booking online – the only new data request appeared to be passport number, which could be obtained in a far less... Dear Mr Charles L., Thank you for writing a review although you rated your stay with us quit poor. But from these kind of reviews we can learn. It is true that we ask our guests to fill out a "police" registration form, which we need to ask by Dutch law. But ones filled out in an NH Hotel we... More

We had a gorgeous view from our 7th floor room! The NH Groningen is ideal if you need to visit the University. It is right across a medical centre and within easy walking distance from the Martini tower and campus. The room was clean, spacious and quite comfortable. There is a minibar, so you can keep purchased food or bottled... More
