Stayed 4 nights with breakfast as part of business trip. Clean, basic but comfortable. Breakfasts are buffet style with plenty of choice. Reception helpful and kind and ordered take away pizza for me one night when I was feeling poorly from a cold. Nice clean rooms and quiet so ideal for business guests. Nearby to lovely walk and promenade at the side of the River Waal. Near to bus routes (200m) and local shops (500m) and restaurants. I ate one night at Tante Koosje which was a wonderful atmosphere and food. Well worth a taxi ride!

The main attraction of the hotel is its location overlooking the river Waal. The rooms are a little bit dated, and in need of some small repairs (e.g. in our room the roller blind of one of the windows was broken). Some of the rooms are inspired by Roman antiquity (Nijmegen was founded by the Romans), and so was ours. One of the "Roman" elements was a bath in the bedroom (apart from the shower in the bathroom). Easily connected with the railway station by an endless queue of buses ploughing the street.

I stayed there for a week. The service is excellent the breakfast is excellent, rich with a lot of kinds of breads, fruits, cheese, yogurts, eggs, drinks and a lot more for a modest price. The stuff is excellent. Beautiful view to the nearby river and in a walking distance to the city Centre. Overall great value for the money. Erez

We arrived early evening. Asked for more pillows and a safe that worked. It wasn’t possible. When we returned after dinner we discovered the uncleanliness of the pillows we had. Filthy. The photo show one of them. No one in reception, so we had to manage. Never again.

Spent a couple of nights at the Hotel Courage while visiting the Arnhem battlefield. The hotel is in a good location overlooking the river and bridge, and close to the town centre of Nijmegen. My room was a reasonable size and very cleanly maintained. Bed was comfortable. The air-conditioning, thankfully, worked well in what was a ferocious heatwave. Wi-fi was fast and free. Bathroom was functional but, disappointingly, had no toiletries except for liquid soap in a squeezy container. Breakfast was acceptable. The lift was unbelievably slow, but that is really the only criticism I have of this hotel, which was very good value for money and I would stay here on a business trip again.
