Detailed Reviews
The rooms are very outdated like we were back in the 70´s. The beds are fine and the bathroom too. It was clean which is important I think. The people who work here are very nice and helpfull. There is a great variety in food for breakfast and even gluten free bread was nice. You can rent a (e-) bike to explore the surroundings. An e-bike is a smart idea with all the hills. The normal bike has a very hard saddle so for long rides my advice is not to use it. Besides this, the hotel is easy to reach by bus but than you have to walk across a parking lot which is not nice to walk over by night because of no lights. All in all, if you want a cheap stay with great breakfast it is a perfect choiche

This hotel is located to the beautiful woods of Arnhem and I can recommend
to hire electric bikes. There are several routes and it is the best way to get to know the woods and the city. The hotel itself is ok but the staff is wonderful

1) Great Location. Serene, Beautiful, and Placid.
2) Both from Veluwe Zoom (Flower Park) and the National Hoge Park.
3) Also nearby Arnhem city. 10-15 mins on the bus.
4) the Only downside is there are no shops/restaurants or places around so you have to go to the city for that or eat in the hotel. On the other hand, hotel food is also good, got the best spekkoek till now in the Netherlands.
5) Overall a decent place to stay with bicycles so that you can enjoy cycling, quietness, serenity, and me time.

Not a s../ hole exactly, but definitely not a premium experience. If not for the miracle of Google maps there would be no chance of finding this place from the main road. It looks like a Norman Bates hotel from the outside. On check-in I had to wait 15 minutes for the front desk to try to issue a key because they could not figure out how to use a computer. They finally let me into the room with a master key. The hotel restaurant is not great. I wasn’t expecting great food quality, but the service model is kind of nuts. The tangle next to me walked out because they thought the server forgot about them. Twice the server took a drink order and had to be reminded to follow through. Then the payment system is nuts. Everyone had to pay at the bar, so the bar had no time to serve drinks. The room is quite basic, not even a table next to the bed. I give it two stars only because the bartender introduced me to Affligem Blonde, which is an acceptable substitute for Leffe Blonde. Just as I am writing this a second group is walking out due to slow service at the restaurant.

Nice clean refurbished room with BBC 1 and 2 plus world service. All you needed in the room. Nice view from most windows. Plenty of choice for Breakfasts with proper tea available. No toaster though. Although its about 3 miles from Arnhem taxis are reasonable and very quick to arrive

The value for money is excellent. Do not expect a 5 star hotel for the price.
The hotel is located outside Arnhem and a car is needed to get around. It is located close to the zoo (worth a visit.). Breakfast is all right - was included in the room rate.

Stayed here with a group in April this year. The hotel is situated on the motorway (A12) on the northern edge of Arnhem - Great for access if you are exploring it is very easy to access the centre of Arnhem from here either by car or bus- for 2 euros each way it will take you from the main road just a couple of minutes from the reception, into Arnhem centre. The bus comes every half an hour. There are 2x bus services the 91, and 231 but check timings as they dont seem to run late.
Check in for our group was very quick and efficient, the staff all speak very good English. The staff were very friendly and helpful and went out of there way to be helpful, The rooms are all very clean and well presented.I note some comments on being dated but I think they were of adequate standard and suited for their purpose. The only drawback was there were no coffee / tea making facilities in the room. Breakfast was excellent, a buffet style with continental style cheeses, hams, meats etc, fruit, fruit salads, juices, cereals, and bread to die for. So many different breads, buns fruit loaf excellent The cooked choices were great with boiled eggs(hard and soft!!), scrambled eggs, smoked bacon, sausage, beans, mini pancakes. Our group had a buffet style evening meal which was soup and another starter(cold buffet) then choice of hot main courses with vegetables and a sweet. A little strage was that a hot drink was not included? The food was well cooked and tasty as well as plentiful. Served as usual with speed and a smile. The bar is efficiciently run with great service Dutch hotel prices which though expensive are not London/ Paris prices. 2.70Euro for a small beer.....Overall I would recommend this hotel to anyone as it is well placed, well staffed and well run, and easy to drive to from all areas of Holland.

I'm surprised to see that I'm the first to review this hotel. I would stay here again. The combination of accessibility and affordability makes this a good choice when visiting Arnhem. It's a good option if you are travelling by car and don't particularly need to stay in the centre of town.
I suppose you would need a car to stay at this hotel. The hotel is conveniently located off the Arnhem-Noord exit on the A12. Despite being so close to the motorway, it is attractively situated in a wooded setting at the edge of a park called De Veluwezoom. The motorway is barely visible from the hotel and I didn't hear it the traffic at all. There are no huge signs for this hotel so check out the location carefully before you come. There's plenty of parking and it's free.
The young staff at this hotel were really polite and helpful. They seemed to be enjoying their work.
Walking and cycling in the park is possible from this hotel but we didn't avail ourselves of this opportunity. One of the websites said it had a fitness centre, but that was not the case. At least when we were there. There is internet (at a price).
The room had everything one would expect of a three-star hotel room. We had a basic room, which was very affordable. I would be surprised if there were any hotel of this calibre in the Arnhem area that had as good a price as this one. The added bonus was that, even at this price, a breakfast buffet was included. Apparently I could have got an even better rate by booking online in advance.
The view from the room was of the woods. The room was not huge, but nor did it feel small. The bed in the basic room was a queen size, I think. I might go for one of the superior rooms the next time I come here. There was no coffee maker in the room, but there's a bar downstairs. The number of TV stations was rather limited.
It was a very nice breakfast. Eggs served in three different ways, bacon, fresh OJ, various breads, fresh fruit, yoghurt, unlimited coffee, etc.
This hotel has good access to the tourist attractions north of the town, including the Open Air Museum, Burger's Zoo, Kröller-Müller and the rest of the Veluwe. Oosterbeek is about 5 km away and easy to find. Downtown Arnhem is about 5 minutes away by car and also dead easy to find. Despite the confusing traffic pattern in the compact downtown Arnhem area, there was no problem with finding parking.
The restaurant at the hotel is expensive (as were most of the restaurants in Arnhem), so we didn't eat there. We went to a great Thai restaurant in the centre of Arnhem called "Rung". Highly recommended.
Final word: a perfectly suitable hotel for a weekend visit or business trip in Arnhem. It's a three star, but the experience felt more than that because of the breakfast and affordability.

Everywhere you look you see that Postillion Hotel Arnhem is way past its prime. There is no chair in the restaurant that is completely in one piece. Especially the business lounge is atrocious. The business arrangement is too expensive for the cup of coffee and tea you can get there. There is no management taking care of restocking etc.
