A nice hotel with plenty of the sort of charm that one expects from a boutique hotel. The room was comfortable and quiet. The hotel is well located some 10-15 minutes walk from the city centre and the old town; there is a tram stop about 150m away from where trams go directly to the main station (about 6 stops). Service was helpful and friendly, and I was able to check into my room straight away, even though I arrived before the official check-in time. The breakfast buffet was not as interesting as I thought it would be, but this is perhaps a minor point. All in all, a good place to stay and I would definitely return there if returning to Zürich.

Dear MOTM2015, Thank you for staying at Small Luxury Hotel Ambassador and for your comprehensive review. It's great to know that we managed to meet your high expectations and it seems that our staff contributed a lot to the overall positive impression. As you say, we are conveniently located next to the lake and near Zurich's Old Town. A tram stop and Stadelhofen train station are a few steps away. As for breakfast, we focus on regional and fair trade products, supporting local farmers and producers. For instance, yogurt and cheese are sourced from natuerli Zuerich and coffee from Black & Blaze. We'd like to inform you that apart from Swiss Z'Morgen Buffet, you can choose breakfast a la carte or an express breakfast with a croissant, coffee, and orange juice. We hope you had a good time in Zurich and will be pleased to welcome you back as our guest in the near future. Kind regards, Michael Böhler, General Manager

The SLH Ambassador has a lovely boutique feel to it, with the great service and attention to detail you'd expect from a SLH member. Our (superior) room at 25m2 was cosy but clean and thoughtfully laid out despite a relative lack of storage space. There is an appealing lounge/bar on the ground floor next to reception and the restaurant. A real highlight of our stay was the breakfast - a large selection of top quality local produce encompassing everything from hot-smoked trout to alpine cheese, eggs cooked to order, and really friendly service. I have never had a disappointing hotel breakfast in Switzerland, but this one is really top-notch.

From check-in through to check-out the service was warm and friendly. The staff were wonderfully helpful with great advice as to were to go and how to get there. The room was well appointed and nice and quite just what we needed after a long flight. We only stayed the one night as we we traveling to Lucerne the next day. Based on this hot end alone we will be coming back to Zürich and staying longer

Although this hotel had wonderful accommodations, great service, and was in a prime location, the true highlight was the service we received by Remi. He was extremely helpful in giving us tips about Zürich and what we should see during our very short stay. He also followed up with us the next morning which was incredibly impressive. Thank you Remi!

Hotel is conveniently located near the lake and opposite the opera house. We were there for new year’s eve and were able to watch the fireworks from the rooftop. Staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Rooms are large, very clean and comfortable. We stayed on the second floor which was relatively quiet. Would highly recommend.
