I really enjoyed staying at this hotel during my recent stay in Zurich. My room was great and very clean, and I found the staff to be extremely helpful and friendly. This hotel is also in a great location for tourists.

Stayed here for a business meeting. Check-in was ok and I immediately knew that the senior staff was experienced and helpful Entered the room and got a shock. It's small and I've stayed in small rooms before. But the Single bed took me by surprise. Never saw one in my 15 years of business travel. All good hotels have double,... More

This small boutique hotel provides everything you need for a business trip at a still affordable price for its class and location, Zurich being extremely expensive. The facilities are cozy and very comfortable, the staff friendly and cooperative. And the Wi-Fi works very well, which is not always the case at other similar hotels.

Excellent location, in center of city, near metro, restaurants, old town. Large room for Europe, neat, clean well maintained. Very comfortable bed, good shower. Wifi was reliable and fast. Lots of English TV channels to choose from when you can't sleep at 3 AM because of jet lag. Coffee in the lobby in the afternoon and evening, but no coffee... More

The Ambassador a l’Opera is perfectly located just behind the Zurich opera house and within walking distance to all the sights. The very close railway station Stadelhofen in addition allows easy access to the airport. A friend of mine and I stayed one night during Christmas and our high expectations were fulfilled to our both satisfaction. Our room was stylish,... More

I visited the Ambassador a l'Opera hotel for the second time, in December, primarily due to it's location (being very close to my office in Zurich) but equally, it is a very nice hotel with lots of character. Even if I wasn't using this hotel for a business trip, I think I'd still use it due to the location what... More

The outside of thia hotel is completely the opposite from the inside. Very clean, great staff but terribly outdated rooms. This is absolutely not acceptable for the pricing for the rooms. Anyway the location ia pretty central and from there you can walk around easely..

Maybe I did a mistake by letting my company book the hotel, but the point is they booked a single room and I ended up in a Shoebox. I am not extremely demanding, but when you are in what is supposed to be a luxury hotel, rooms like these should not be sold, whether you are a solo traveler or... More

Dear “CyrilParis“. I am very sorry that we could not meet your expectations and that you were not satisfied with your stay at our Small Luxury Hotel Ambassador a L’Opera Zurich. As our hotel is located in a protected building (part of the former Uto Castle, built in 1898 in neo-baroque style) it is not possible to change the room... More

Superlative staff courtesy and service. An excellent location near the lake, convenient and central. This hotel offered a cossetting, boutique atmosphere with real quality and a solid sense of privacy.

We chose to stay at this hotel because we are great fans of Small Luxury Hotels and have never been let down by any of their hotels. The room was very spacious and the amenities provided were top class (tea, coffee making facilities). We particularly liked the pillow menu and to it was a nice touch to offer a pillow... More
