The location is superb. It is two minutes walk from Central tram stop or a six minutes walk from the main railway station. The check in was swift and efficient. The hotel is on a fairly busy street with lots of bars and restaurants but the noise isolation is excellent. I slept like a baby and did not hear a thing from the street. The room is compact but comfortable. There is a fully stocked mini-bar (a rarity these days) and an espresso machine. They have also kept the nice little touches which are typical of Sorell hotels: The little duck in the bathroom (which you can take with you), the shoe shorn, the yoga mat, and the umbrellas in the room in case it rains. Often the bathrooms in Sorell hotels come with a bath, but this one only had a shower. The hardwood floors are nice. The breakfast room was laid out in a socially distanced manner, i.e. only a certain number of tables were laid out with cutlery and napkins. The laid tables were at least two meters away from each other. That is a clever thing to do in these times. A was a little bit worried about the buffet breakfast. You still go to the buffet and pick up what you want from their selection in the traditional manner. They have not done what many other hotels have done, i.e. pre-packed small plates of various items wrapped in cling-film. However, take a small bottle of hand disinfectant with you to the breakfast room and wipe your hands after you have touched the utensils at the buffet and you should be fine. Both the check-in and check-out were quick and professional.…
This Hotel could not be more central, and yet it is quiet in Zurich old town. I had a single room which in Switzerland often seems to be a converted attic with a small bed. Not here: comfortable wide bed, place to work, coffee machine in the room, window to the back. Bathroom with shower has all that is needed. I had an empty bottle of skin moisturiser in the bathroom that was promptly repladed when I asked for it. Breakfast buffet was plentiful, staff very helpful. No complaints whatsoever!
We are here on a mix, business and pleasure trip. This hotel was suggested by our business associates. Nice place, clean. Very friendly staff. Close to everything. Great breakfast included. Beds are separable. Worked well for us. I recommend this place.
Very good hotel for short stay. Just 300-400 m from Central Station (Haupbahnhoff). Over the river, walking distance, is downtown. To Paradenplatz is 11 minutes. Room clean. Environment ok. Silent - but it was middle of the week. Small choice for breakfast but with excellent cappuccino. Had the room 305.
We stayed here for night after arriving in Switzerland to recover from jet lag before heading out on an eight day train trip. We arrived after a red eye flight in, and we're thrilled that our room was ready and we were permitted an early check in. We stayed in room 301 which was two twins and had a small couch. The bathroom was small, but totally functional and had all the basics, shampoo, lotion, hairdryer etc... The room was also very quiet. Breakfast was included, and was very good. The hotel was an easy five minute walk to and from the train station. It is located in the historic district, and is in a great area to walk to many restaraunt a and shopping. Would recommend for a stay.
