We were very warmly greeted upon our arrival. Elena checked us in and showed us to our room. She was very engaging and made us feel super welcome. The entire staff was very helpful, friendly and service oriented. The bellman was great and called me by my name on the second day, nice touch! This was our final stop on a month long trip and a nice way to finish things off. Exterior of the hotel is very classic styled while the interior has been completely redone and is contemporary with lovely wood. Bed was excellent! We loved the change of pace. Lots of new gadgets and additions you don’t have in the older hotels. For instance, a lighted toilet bowl! Brilliant! Never saw this before. It keeps you from having to turn the lights on in the middle of the night. Service at a hotel is very important and often can distinguish two excellent hotels. Elena and the rest of the team knocked it out off the park! Great location too!…
Greeting at the door made me feel like I was in store for something fantastic and boy did this hotel not dissapoint. Staff helped with my Covid test mishap, cigar lounge was extraorindary and the wine list is to die for. Breakfast was in my top 5 ever globally. The only issue I had was the bar was a bit slow on Friday evening. I forgot his name, but the Polish bartender is non-stop, kudos to him and his drinks, but hire him a friend behind the bar to take some preassure off him.
Highly recommend this property - superb location, great food and amazing service. We had left a mobile on the aircraft before arriving at the hotel; the concierge team couldn't have been more helpful - they located the phone and picked it up from the airport, without any fuss or cost, ready to hand to us when we arrived. Great hotel, made even better by the wonderful staff.
Nice room in a hotel which is in a great location. However the corner room had no view of the lake . “You are lucky to be on the first floor because it has our finest rooms with large balconies over looking the lake” [but not in the case of your room which has neither balcony or view]. The promised champagne on arrival was forgotten . When we chased it up they brought up a half bottle (!) of undrinkable rubbish - which was annoying given we felt we’d been hoodwinked into paying more for a substandard suite in the first place (and had let them know that). It was silly of them to be so cheap about little things. The bell hops were great and the breakfast was very good- but other than that , the check in processes and other interactions left us with the impression than mum and dad had gone away and left the kids in change of the place.…
The location of this new hotel couldn't be better, right on the Lake, a stone's throw from old town and the city centre. We loved the Philippe Starck interior design, and the Lake view rooms offered stunning views, albeit a little cramped, if you need an extra bed like us. The food was fantastic and the small roof top terrace for drinks overlooking the lake was the perfect place for an aperitivo. It's pricey but was a lovely respite in the middle of COVID when travelling anywhere too far was off the cards.
Friendly Reception Helpful concierge Amazing location Beside something similar to winter land Nice room High cautious about covid I love the winter season vibes in Zurich. I also traveled for a day to basil and they have the best Christmas market worldwide
Newly renovated by Stark, perfectly situated by the lake. City center can be reached by walking and lake side rooms offer a beautiful view. Busy street right below the window makes sleeping with open window difficult. Prestige Balcony Room is priced at 1000 sfr: Room size was small with a disproportionately large bathroom. Very small sitting area with 2 regular chairs, no place to relax (other than bed). Bed is excellent quality. Still overpriced, you’ll find equal standards, quality and view for less (as in BeauRivage Palace in Lausanne, for example).
A stunning property to discover in Zurich, newly opened and very well located. Super interesting gastronomic concept with a Peruvian restaurant and sharing styled dishes, and lovely rooms with amazing bathrooms. It was impressive to see staff members from so different countries and cultures working here, it's a real melting pot and especially during covid times (while we cannot travel too far away) a nice experience. A special thanks to Corina Soehner for arranging the stay!
The hotel is lake-facing. It is in a period building, but the inside is very new and quirky. Not madly so, just enough to give one that rare chance to see and experience something different. The 5/5 rating I have given it reflects the expectation of any 5 star hotel, plus that “extra”. We had a corner room which had many surprising features and which, alongside the standard slippers, offered warm wollie hats and luxury shoe cleaning clothes. I would consider our visit here more of an experience than a visit. Dinner in the upstairs Resturant was a real treat. Absolutely delicious and never seen anything like it . The service is superlative and breakfast was delicious. Absolutely fabulous !
Do not stay in this hotel if you respect your money and yourself! Worst 5 start hotels I have ever been! Actually, the only 5 star characteristic is the abusive price - from the water in the room to the Bar, restaurant and specially the terrible breakfast! But price is the minor issue. The worst part of staying in this hotel is to deal with the Snob and arrogant employees! They think they are the owners of the world and they are making a favor to host you in the hotel! They absolute despises the presence of the guests! Worst than that, they do not honor any partnership with Luxury and Membership programs and/or try to please the guest in anyway. Also, the room is so so small that you can not open one luggage inside. Worse, it does not fit properly one couple in the bed Last but not least: Pay special attention in your bill! They simply extra charge twice “by mistake”. I wish I could have read something like this before and could avoid staying in this hotel during my Stay in Zurich. Terrible is not enough to describe my experience here.…
