I booked this hotel online with short notice for New Years Eve time. It was the most expensive hotel I have ever booked (not sure if the price was due to holiday season or a combination of the luxury hotel price tag as well). All tips and service are included in price. We were given an upgraded room upon check in. Nice surprise (most likely due to booking with the hotel directly). The location across the road from the main train station was very handy as we arrived to Zurich via train at 6pm. Our room overlooked /faced the station, however traffic and train noise was not an issue. I did not notice it and slept easily. We were given a room that had an adjoining room. Whilst the door was locked we could hear people in the adjoining room talk, cough, etc. The butler came around each night offering treats including Lindt chocolate blocks, fruit, yogurt and more. The breakfast was nice. All staff friendly and accommodating. The beds were amazing. So comfortable and each side of the bed could be adjusted with electronic remote. The bed was huge.

We had five rooms (from suites to doubles) for 10 people over 3 floors of this hotel. While the driver who dropped us off cautioned the hotel would be "loud," "touristy," and "overpriced" (what a welcome to Switzerland, by the by! Geesh!), we found the front desk to be warm and welcoming. The rooms were actually incredibly quiet - we didn't hear any vehicle, train or pedestrian traffic. The beds were comfortable, the bathrooms perfectly suitable and well equipped, and - perhaps most appreciated - the water pressure was strong and hot. We were happy to have rooms with suitable HVAC given the heat wave at the time. The breakfast buffet was just fine. The hotel location made much of what you'd want to see well within walking distance. As we traveled across the country, we noticed that all of the hotels in this brand were located either near the train station or along the waterfront of the given town. While we didn't stay at those hotels (see other reviews), if they are all of the same class and category, I would recommend travelers "working a deal" with the brand to stay at all of their hotels in the various towns.

Sadly, I only stayed here one night at the end of a ski holiday on my way back to Australia. At my request, a porter met me at the Zurich train station to assist me with a substantial amount of luggage including skis. While the hotel is directly across the street from the station, this was a welcome service. I was greeted at reception with a warm hand towel and a drink of sparkling water. Even though I arrived mid- morning, my room was ready. The room was well appointed including a fruit tray, chocolates, bottled water, capsule coffee machine and tea service. The bathroom was nicely appointed as well with Asprey of London toiletries. For those travellers who didn't bring the right power adapter, the desk outlets included British, American and European power points. The windows appeared to be triple glazed and kept out virtually all the noise of the hustle and bustle below. For the evening meal, I sat at the bar and had a wonderful veal dish along with a very nice glass of Bordeaux wine. The hotel is within walking distance of what appear to be some very nice restaurants in addition to trendy shops. Breakfast was very good and the freshly squeezed orange juice was a stand out. On my next Swiss ski trip, I would like to stay here at least two nights. Well done Hotel Schweizerhof!

We stayed here for 3 nights earlier this month at the beginning of a two-week European holiday.
From start to finish the stay was flawless.
We had had a couple of queries prior to our arrival, both of which were quickly answered by the concierge. Given that we live in the USA this was even more impressive given the time difference.
Upon arrival we were warmly greeted and welcomed with hot towels and sparkling wine. After a long flight and a train from Zürich Flughafen to the city centre this was much appreciated.
The hotel is located immediately outside the main station so it’s perfectly located for travel.
We had a Junior Suite which was very well appointed. The room looked out onto a small courtyard (as opposed to the street) but was quiet and peaceful with no noise either from outside or the corridor. We slept well every night - the bed was exceptionally comfortable. There was a very good selection of toiletries and other amenities and the room was made up every day, with turndown service each evening. We also had fresh fruit and chocolates daily.
Breakfast was included in the rate and we indulged each day. There was a good buffet selection to choose from, and additional options from the menu. Everything was well presented, fresh and tasty.
We drank in the bar one evening and were well looked after there too. The bar is small and intimate but we didn’t feel as if we were sitting on top of other patrons and could chat without being overheard or having to shout above the noise.
The staff at the hotel are wonderful. Everyone we met was both friendly and professional, as well as being fluent English speakers.
All in all we’d give this stay a solid 10/10 and we’d wholeheartedly recommend the hotel. We would definitely stay there again on our next visit to Zürich.

I stayed here while visiting Zurich for a research conference. I can’t explain how satisfied I am with this hotel. It’s directly across from the train station so when I arrived after a very long flight I was delighted to see it right there. The butlers and bellman are always around and available for your needs and especially to welcome you home when you return each day. The cleaning staff also did an exceptional job cleaning the room and providing turndown service. There were fresh flowers and fruit in my room each day, and I heard absolutely no noise from the surrounding neighborhood at night.

The staff at the Schweizerhof are extemely helpful and friendly and it was always great to be cheerfully greeted everytime I returned to the hotel after an exhausting shopping expedition down the Bahnhofstrasse :) The rooms are as one would expect in a five star establishment. Being alone, I had a standard room both times I stayed during my week in Switzerland and it was fine but not generously large. My son and his family had a room which was like a junior suite and it was definitely big enough for them. The key feature of the hotel is the location, it's across the street from the main station so it's really convenient. As mentioned, the shopping is totally accessible. The Old Town is nearby so walking to charming retaurants is very easy. Highly recommended!

Arrived in Zurich without my checked in bagage lost, tired and angry but felt Imediatly happy when I checked in at the hotel because I felt so welcome. This hotel understands that every detail matters and pay attention to every detail. The room perfect with a very good bed. Breakfast wounderful with excelent service and staff that understand the need for coffee without haveing to wait for it long or spending time to find somebody to get it for you. Cleaning perfect. The hotel in an old building, that is very well maintained and with modern eqipment so the best from both the old and the new world. The service at the bar very good and a nice place to just sit down and relax. Left the hotel still without my baggage but with a great smile and happy that they found a room for me on way back home and that stay was as good as the first stay at the hotel. This is a hotel that makes you happy so thanks to all the staff.

This was our first stay in Zürich where we spent three days, visiting the museums around town. We also enjoyed some shopping in various boutiques and shops. Our stay at the Schweizerhof was really good and we had dinner at the Soupière restaurant both evenings. The location of the hotel in the city center is really convenient and so well deserved by trams which can lees you in every interesting places around town.

We visited Zurich for our 10th anniversary. Hotel has perfect location for Zurich, next to train station and main street with all the cool shops. Room was amazing, service was amazing, everyone super friendly, nice and competent. Room was clean, fresh fruits in the room everyday, small chocolate at evening, adjustable beds, very calm place to stay over. We booked room with HP, breakfast was outstanding - superb service, high quality products and dishes, everything was fresh and tasty, coffee good, I personally loved freshly pressed orange juice and well prepared egg dishes. Dinner was a la carte, each day something new and creative. We could try out some new dishes for us, everything was tasty, some dishes were very good, some were fantastic. Always good quality, always fresh and well balanced. Definitely a place to come back. For our anniversary day hotel staff made us a nice surprise with sparkling vine, snacks and decorations in the room, which made our special day even nicer. We enjoyed the city, enjoyed the stay and can only recommend this hotel. COVID safety measures are followed as required but didn't bother us much because everything was logical and comfortable - sanitisers everywhere where needed, all staff vears masks, but you can still see they are smiling when you see the eyes. Wonderful hotel, perfect location near to the train station. All of the staff were extremely polite and helpful, offering lots of information about places to visit, things to see and the best restaurants to eat. The rooms were lovely, very quiet and everything required seemed to be included. We visited in December for the Christmas markets and were not disappointed, the markets were great, with various ones being close to the hotel. Can not fault anything about the hotel and our stay. Will definitely stay here next time we visit Zürich.

Hello, I’m not sure where Chur is exactly, but this hotel is very close to the main train station.
Only a few minutes walking distance.
You can not hear the trains from the hotel.
Just a warning that the hotel is very sensitive to food that leaves an odour in the room. I had curry and was chided by the smell. Opening the window while I was away from the room was an easy solution but the hotel staff was annoyed nonetheless. So may want to eat out if u can to avoid any unpleasantness.
