Sadly, I only stayed here one night at the end of a ski holiday on my way back to Australia. At my request, a porter met me at the Zurich train station to assist me with a substantial amount of luggage including skis. While the hotel is directly across the street from the station, this was a welcome service. I was greeted at reception with a warm hand towel and a drink of sparkling water. Even though I arrived mid- morning, my room was ready. The room was well appointed including a fruit tray, chocolates, bottled water, capsule coffee machine and tea service. The bathroom was nicely appointed as well with Asprey of London toiletries. For those travellers who didn't bring the right power adapter, the desk outlets included British, American and European power points. The windows appeared to be triple glazed and kept out virtually all the noise of the hustle and bustle below. For the evening meal, I sat at the bar and had a wonderful veal dish along with a very nice glass of Bordeaux wine. The hotel is within walking distance of what appear to be some very nice restaurants in addition to trendy shops. Breakfast was very good and the freshly squeezed orange juice was a stand out. On my next Swiss ski trip, I would like to stay here at least two nights. Well done Hotel Schweizerhof!

I booked this hotel online with short notice for New Years Eve time. It was the most expensive hotel I have ever booked (not sure if the price was due to holiday season or a combination of the luxury hotel price tag as well). All tips and service are included in price. We were given an upgraded room upon check in. Nice surprise (most likely due to booking with the hotel directly). The location across the road from the main train station was very handy as we arrived to Zurich via train at 6pm. Our room overlooked /faced the station, however traffic and train noise was not an issue. I did not notice it and slept easily. We were given a room that had an adjoining room. Whilst the door was locked we could hear people in the adjoining room talk, cough, etc. The butler came around each night offering treats including Lindt chocolate blocks, fruit, yogurt and more. The breakfast was nice. All staff friendly and accommodating. The beds were amazing. So comfortable and each side of the bed could be adjusted with electronic remote. The bed was huge.

We had five rooms (from suites to doubles) for 10 people over 3 floors of this hotel. While the driver who dropped us off cautioned the hotel would be "loud," "touristy," and "overpriced" (what a welcome to Switzerland, by the by! Geesh!), we found the front desk to be warm and welcoming. The rooms were actually incredibly quiet - we didn't hear any vehicle, train or pedestrian traffic. The beds were comfortable, the bathrooms perfectly suitable and well equipped, and - perhaps most appreciated - the water pressure was strong and hot. We were happy to have rooms with suitable HVAC given the heat wave at the time. The breakfast buffet was just fine. The hotel location made much of what you'd want to see well within walking distance. As we traveled across the country, we noticed that all of the hotels in this brand were located either near the train station or along the waterfront of the given town. While we didn't stay at those hotels (see other reviews), if they are all of the same class and category, I would recommend travelers "working a deal" with the brand to stay at all of their hotels in the various towns.
