Friendly and helpful staff. Location is excellent, approx a 10 minute walk to town. Many restaurants in the area with a good pub on the corner. Free internet, but no air conditioning.

We stayed her on our recent trip to Zurich. We chose this hotel for its central location and its supply of free internet. The hotel staff are very friendly and polite providing us with more than enough information about the local area. The breakfast buffet is not huge but sufficient and service was A++. The hotel is just a few... More

We booked this online and did not ask if there was air conditioning. What a mistake. It was 95 F inside the room. We asked for a different room where it was cooler and not so noisey. They had one at the back but it was $30 more. ?? The place was almost empty. After a couple of rounds with... More

I have stayed one night here because, as has been pointed out by a previous reviewer, Zurich tends to run out of affordable hotel rooms and if you leave it for too late, you’re eitherout of town, or having to pay CHF 800+ for a room. The hotel looks like your classic 1960s/70s Swiss residential building. A beefed-up Soviet-style apartment... More

The hotel is well located, very near the railway station. A free parking is available which it's a must in Zurich... An honest breakfast is included. There are 2 big rooms available (6 and 5 persons) at a very good price. In fact, even if the hotel is a little bit old, they propose some little extras (as mentionned before)... More

I stayed in ASTOR hotel with my family for 3 nights. It was a very pleasant stay. The hotel is situated next to a tram stop. Zurich HB (Main Train Station) is so close by that we can very well walk down there instead of waiting for tram. As we travelled other cities during our trip from Zurich HB, we... More

The Astor was booked for me by my company because they waited until the last minute, and all the good hotels with reasonable rates were gone. Take a number 7 tram from the station, because the hill to the hotel is very steep you will regret it if you walk. When you arrive and check in you get the key... More

There was three of us. One of the beds was just a pull out couch. There was no air and it was very hot and sticky in the room. With being three young girls we did not feel safe and didnt even stay for one night. We explained why we were leaving the staff over charged us for the small... More

This hotel is on a tram line / main road. Our room was one of the "superior" ones at the rear. Despite this the tram noise was a problem (even with windows closed). The Superior rooms are a good size & good bathrooms. The std rooms are at the front and are pretty small. I'd rate the buffet breakfast as... More

Stayed for two nights in Astor Hotel, All the staff of the hotel were very friendly and helpful. The room was a good size, clean and airy. The breakfast was a cont. buffet like most European Hotels. The city is a 5-10 min walk There is a hill walk to the hotel but just take the 6 or 10 trams... More
