I don't like to simply classify a place as simply good or bad but sometimes, you find in hotels that whilst one section is great, the next can let it down badly. Stayed here recently on business and also with several other colleagues. Check in was very efficient and my room was great, very comfortable and clean with great bed. downstairs for drinks later, was a bit of pandemonium as there was an event going on in the public bar area and it looked a mess to be honest with, empty glasses and dried up canapés everywhere. Anyway had a drink and then went into the dining room where we had reserved a table. Girl who met us looked a bit harassed and tried to put us outside where there was a good wind blowing so we declined. We were then kept waiting 5 minutes until she could set up a table for us, ok these things happen, not the end of the world. Dinner was ok, the menu is a disappointment with not many inspirational dishes but I had an ok belly of pork, whilst one colleague had an uncooked salmon steak. Breakfast was ok but again everything was very busy and messy tables. Big disappointment is the outdoor seating area. There a few semi comfortable seats but instead of tables there's old wooden pallets which just look plain daft and incongruous outside a five star hotel - what on earth were the management thinking?! Anyway, wouldn't rush back to this place; it was ok but hotels like this need to try and make themselves stand out from the competition and unfortunately there's many others out there who are doing it much better...

We were assigned this hotel and we found it to be comfortable. Aside from the airlines delaying our luggage, it was brought to our door at 11PM. We had a spacious double bed room on a upper level floor with a nice industrial view of the city. It was very clean and had a separate toilet/sink and shower/sink area. It was fairly old, but well maintained. Breakfast was included and was exceptional with a variety of cultural warm and cold foods. It was a bit crowded, but the staff kept up with the pace. All said, it was a very nice stay and I was happy with the choice Viking made.

I had made reservations through the Marriot website for three rooms for our group of five. There was already a little confusion when three of us first checked in on the first day, because all the rooms were booked in my name, but the receptionist was very friendly and attentive so this was quickly sorted out. We had requested connecting rooms, though, which we did not get, but that wasn't really a problem. However, the remaining two arrived one day later than the rest of us and when they checked in, they were given the same room that I was already staying in. Somehow that room was then changed under my friend's name. We quickly noticed this obviously and it was eventually sorted out at the reception so that we got all the three rooms that we were supposed to have, but all this did leave us a little disconcerted. The rest of our stay was enjoyable and we all liked the spacious and modern rooms very much. It's worth mentioning though that not all rooms are equally large and one of our three was considerably smaller than the other two. Bathrooms were well equipped and there was a separate toilet, which was nice. There's also an individual air conditioning unit, which we really appreciated since there was a heat wave in Zurich during our stat. The views are very urban/industrial but it's nice to have the large windows, and you can see quite far from the higher floors (we were in floor 10). Breakfast was excellent with a wide selection of warm and cold foods. The Equinox restaurant is cozy but a bit small, so on some mornings the tables were pretty packed. Overall the location is good and easily reachable by train or tram from Zurich city center and also the airport. There are also car rental services within walking distance and many nice restaurants. The staff was always friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean and spacious and breakfast was excellent. If there hadn't been the aforementioned check-in/booking mess, this would have been an excellent overall experience.

This is probably the only hotel in Europe (and I travel a lot) that has two double beds!!! (or maybe we got lucky, or maybe because it not EU country). Room is spacious, we had two double bed, two sinks as well. Hotel is fairly new, modern and cute. Hotel has a sauna with city view! How cool is that? As well as a steam room. That was so nice after a week of hopping through Italy. Associates are welcoming and super friendly at Front Desk. I really had a great number of conversations with them. Bar associates were super friendly. Thank you!

I stayed there for 2 nights. Rooms are nice. Bed was ok. Shower was meh. the Location is ok for business (close to the airport and business areas) but it could be painful to reach the old city. The service was terrible. It was uncaring and non-professional. I visited many Marriott hotels around the world. This was one of the worst service experience I had.
