Good for budget traveller, no staff for check in, all you need to do is to self checkin using the computer, then you get your room key. If you have luggage, you can use the luggage lift and you walk up to your room. Room was simple but okay for a night.

Came to Zurich from gstaad just for the night y. We wanted to be near the train station to get the the airport. This hotel was walking distance, so why not. There are NO employees. Literally none. You walk in straight to a computer machine and type in your information and pay there (if needed). The machine prints out your room key and that’s it. There is NO elevator in this hotel either. They do have a bag lift for your luggage. We were on the third floor, so up the stairs we go. The room is very small. The to on was clean and nice though. You can see straight through The bathroom sliding doors .... so if you are traveling with someone,, be comfortable.
The next day when we were heading out we weeds able to put our luggage in the large lockers they haVe downstairs, very convenient.
This hotel was cheap, it’s right in the heart of the bars and nightlife, and it Was clean. Only bad thing is if you need anything, you are on your own.

Overall our experience was good except hotel check in. We reached there in the morning as we took night bus from Italy. Unfortunately, We had to wait all the way till check in time as there were no in-person recepsonist. So we couldn't request for a early check in. however there were locker outside to keep bags and other staffs which was accessable with a passcode

We flew into Zurich airport and took a train to Zurich HB station. From there it was a bit of a walk to get to the hotel. We arrived on Christmas eve, so the streets were eerily empty and the location of the hotel seemed to be in a more "dodgey" area.
The check-in process was terrible. There are no staff or a desk. You arrive to a touch screen system and have to put in your details to check-in. We paid in advance for the room but when we attempted to check-in it started we had an outstanding amount of one cent. It wouldnt allow us to pay and promoted us to go to the "front desk", of which there is none. We had no means of a phone so couldbt call the number and were completely stuck. Eventually we got hold of a cellphone to call the number and the lady on the other end of the line fixed the issue...30 minutes later.
When we got into the room it was tiny, and the bathroom worse so. The door then wouldn't lock prompting us to phone the number once again. The lady came and told us just to close it very hard.
There is no room cleaning (unless asked for).
Overall, we would not return to this hotel. The price enticed us but we will definitly pay a bit more in the future for better accomodation.

The "hotel" (it is more a hostel really) is located 15 minutes walk from Zürich HB station, and this is pretty much everything I liked about this place.
The property is fully automated, so there were no staff that could assist you during the check in. For some reason the machine failed to create my room key, so I had to call a Swiss number from my mobile to get remote assistance. BTW, you get only one room key even if there is more than one person staying.
We had to carry our bags to the 3rd floor as we did not trust the tiny "luggage elevator" provided. The room was tiny, there was not a single shelf, let alone a wardrobe. There were just two hangers provided, so we had to keep 99% of our belongings in the suitcases. Not that there was enough space on the floor for the suitcases either.
The room was very noisy, you could hear your neighbours through the wall. But the worst thing was the noise coming from the street. We slept with earplugs, but still were woken up twice during the night (at 2am and 4am) by two separate groups of drunk halfwits standing and screaming in their rasp voices directly below our window. I heard them even when the window was shut.
Apparently, the area is one of the worst in Zürich (former red lights district), which we sadly learned only afterwards. When we walked back to the station the following morning, there were dozens of empty alcohol bottles (and other post-party rubbish) scattered everywhere.
There were no staff on site, so anyone could enter the luggage storage room. Yes, there were cameras, but I don't think there was anyone near enough to react in case of someone breaking into the lockers. Because of that we decided to pay 15 CHF to leave our luggage at the Zürich HB station rather than at the "hotel".
Not to mention that we paid over 100 CHF for the room, which honestly speaking was a rip off given the quality of the stay. Never again.

Just abysmal… all login machine broken and then has to use overseas mobile to call arrogant and stupid support staff. Everyone staying here had the same dreadful experience… In my 40 years of travelling the worst I have ever experienced ever!!!

+1
Unfortunately everything here is basic.
No check in staff, no hairdryer, no level of cleanliness.
The hotel will not let you check in until 3oclock, no option for early check in.
The room itself has a bed and a cubicle which is loosely called a bathroom. The 25 year old shower curtain has seen better days as had the door frame to the bathroom.
The bed had a questionable black stain on and the lighting behind the bed clearly hadn’t been wiped down or dusted.
The location is ok, about 10 minutes from the train station.
I’d probably say spend the extra £60 and get yourself a decent hotel to experience Zürich.

Absolutely awful! The room was suffocatingly hot and the only ventilation was to open the window where there was a bar and night club right outside. Impossible to sleep with the window closed and impossible to sleep with the window open. No human beings to speak to so requested a different room online but it was ignored. Do not stay here. Pay a bit more for a real hotel.

In addition to not having a single employee at the hotel, since check-in and check-out are done at machines, there is no contact information at the hotel. There is only a generic number on one of the walls of the hotel in case of contact. However, this number is Swiss and not linked to any social network, which makes it impossible for foreigners to get in touch. I didn't see any staff for the 2 days I stayed, ever!!
I rebooked this hotel so I could leave my bags during the day and pick them up before my trip. However, I could not get into the hotel, all doors were locked, no access, only by card which did not work. Now I was outside the hotel with my luggage and no employee was available or even existing! In desperation I sent an email and I still have no answer two days later
.
Horrible. I recommend everyone not to book in this hotel!!

Barely slept, walls sound like they’re made of paper!! Not only could I hear the conversation both sides but any door that closed on the whole floor.
Expected the small basic room and tiny bathroom.
Awful experience, no reception to call.
