This 2 room self catered apartment 5 mins walk from the slopes was a great place to relax and get comfortable. Very friendly and helpful staff let us stay the day of check out till we were ready to go. Kitchen is modern and very well stocked, comfy beds and sofa in a quiet location.

I have to join the others who have enjoyed a nice holiday in Zermatt and stayed at Alouette. The family room (2 adults, 3 children) was quite simple with outdated furniture, but I have to point out it offered great value for money. We had two double bed bedrooms and a sofa bed for me (as I was struggling a... More

As many other reviewers have mentioned, it is the service that sets this apart-hotel apart! Zermatt is a very expensive location, but the Alouette was ideal for our needs, great value for money and as a central location for skiing it was ideal - the fast Sunnega lift is only minutes away. The owners could not have been more helpful... More

We liked the size of the apartment, multiple bedrooms, living-cum- dinning room, and the kitchen was very well stocked with utensil and cookery, oven and dish washer. The location was quite a distance from the train station, and it is on the opposite side of the stream which is bisecting Zermatt town, which means that we had to pull/push luggages... More

L'Alouette is a fantastic appart-hotel for any couple or family looking for a week of walking in the summer (and very likely also for skiing in the winter). We appreciated its handy location (8 minutes from the station, and from the town center, and from most shops), as well as the facilities for cooking our own meals. The rustic interiors... More

I visited the Alouette during the 2013 Easter holiday. The hotel is a well-kept, fastidiously maintained unit on the slopes above the village. Don't let the distance to downtown Zermatt put you off; you will walk there in six minutes (and the Sunegga subway station is even closer when you want to go uphill to ski!). This is by no... More

My family and I spent two nights at Alouette after spending our first two nights in Zermatt at another hotel. The Alouette is spacious and wonderful for families traveling on a budget. I noticed other reviewers complain about the price for short stays of 1-2 nights, but there are few affordable options in Zermatt for 1-2 nights and Alouette and... More

We were two couples staying in a 2 bedroom 1 bath apartment. Each bedroom also had a sink with a mirror. There was a kitchen complete with small fridge and stove and some glassware/plates/bowls provided. We were responsible for cleaning any used dishes. The beds were comfortable and there was a separate living area with a tv. We had a... More

My husband and I spent 2 nights in Zermatt for summer skiing, mountain biking and an all-around break from city living. We booked a studio with Matterhorn view at the Alouette, and were very pleasantly surprised by the accommodations and service received. The room was very spacious with a lot of storage space, everything was clean and tidy, and the... More

We spent two nights here with our two teenage sons (15 & 12).we booked a 2 bedroom apartment and the rooms were spotlessly clean, beds comfy and kitchen well equipped (there was even a cupboard in the hallway that had extra kitchen equipment ie a fondue set!). We were were lucky enough to have a 2nd floor balcony room with... More
