Mario and Katja are wonderful hosts and their staff are great, too. The breakfast is absolutely fantastic. There are MANY choices and everything is so fresh. The buffet included fresh squeezed orange juice and slices of avocado, which is rare in our experience. In addition to the buffet, they make eggs and omelettes to order. Mario picked us up at the airport and helped us with dinner reservations. Katja gave us sightseeing tips that were helpful. We loved our room and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. This was our second stay at this hotel and if we ever visit Zermatt again, this is where we would stay!

We chose Bellerive from a list of 10 hotel we had initially shortlisted and we are glad we did. It was an excellent hotel with welcoming and helpful staff. The hotel is a short 6 minute walk from the station(Tasch) where we parked our car. Since this was a travel during COVID times, I must mention the excellent hygiene standards of the hotel without making a big deal of it. We even ended up buying one of their awesome sanitizers:D
The bathroom and room were extremely clean, and the breakfast was awesome for a fussy eater like me as I could take the whole wheat bread and the gluten free bread (not available easily in European hotels) with some fresh orange juice. The general vibe of the hotel is nice. It is beautiful and views of the Matterhorn from the bridge are easily accessible. Highly recommend this hotel. Since most restaurants were shut in Zermatt in June, we could go to Tradition Julen, right across from Bellerive for some excellent dinner.
Thank you Hotel Bellerive for some good memories!

My husband and I stayed in October of 2022 for two nights, choosing the room with a view of the Matterhorn. It rained the first two days, and the hotel kindly provided umbrellas. The location was perfect for even a rainy day adventure, knowing we were never too far from the hotel to dry off and warm up. The morning we were scheduled to leave, the sky cleared and we woke up to a stunning view of a freshly powdered Matterhorn. The staff member who managed the breakfast area kindly gave us coffee to take to our room, and we wrapped ourselves in the provided blankets and sat on the room balcony watching the sun rise over the mountain. Later, we saw a painting of the Matterhorn that identically represented our experience - seeing it glowing in the early morning light. We were leaving and didn't have a chance to purchase the painting from the artist. I contacted the hotel and, to my genuine amazement, they helped us remotely purchase the painting and shipped it to us. Raphaella, we are so grateful for your help.
From the moment we checked in and well beyond, we felt cared for by the hotel staff. The lobby fireplace is perfect for warming up, and the hotel location is ideal. The rooms are spacious, cozy, and conscientiously detailed with extra blankets, umbrellas, slippers, robes, and anything needed after a day of adventuring. The included spa is clean and inviting, easy to enjoy with little fuss. But, the above-and-beyond attention from the staff, from suggesting where to eat to when to visit the spa when it was less busy to the amazing niceness of assisting us remotely with a painting purchase makes the Bellerive a true outlier in hotel experiences.

It was like we had arrived at a relatives house...they were SO welcoming. I have never thanked a hotel for "having us" before...but it just seemed fitting! Katja, Mario, Rafaela, and all other staff went out of their way to be helpful and truly welcoming. No expenses spared on their renovations. Everything is truly up-to-date, clean and top of the line. Loved the dry and warm ski boots every morning from the ski lockers with boot dryers. Great location. Very easy 1-minute walk (even in ski boots) to bus which takes you to any of the ski lifts, and very close to all downtown restaurants etc. for apres ski. We purchased the "package" which included ski rentals, one dinner for each guest, and a massage per guest. I think it was well worth it. They sent us to Z'art for dinner which was truly amazing. We had a small room, but well equipped. We will not consider any other hotel when we return!

We knew little of Zermatt before our travels to Switzerland but we knew we had to go to this little town to see the great Matterhorn and surrounding landscapes. This hotel was a jewel amongst many other hotels and we are so glad we booked our 2 rooms (one jr. Suite and one panorama room with a view of the Matterhorn) for our family of 4. While the rooms were separated by 2 floors, this was not a problem at all with older children (17/14). The rooms were comfortable, the views were amazing and service was truly excellent. We hope to come back in the future. Thanks so much for an amazing stay.

Been in many hotels, from 3 to 5 Stars. But Hotel Bellerive will stay in our memories forever. From Electric Taxi to kind Staff, top location, attention to details, View of Matternhorn and everything you can imagine was absolutely amazing (even their slippers were suuuper soft). Owner Mario and all the staff was so kind and helpfull, they rearrange everything that we asked for. I booked Sky room, and words cannot describe the feeling when you come in that beautiful room and see famous Matternhorn. So if you are planning to visit Zermatt, I promise you will not regret this choice. I want to thank to all staff of Hotel for making our stay unforgettable. Really appreciate, we will definitely be staying here when we visit Zermatt again,
all the best,
Darko

The stay from start to finish at Bellerive was flawless. Every single person working there was helpful, friendly and made every request seamless and effortless. We were so sad to leave. The room facing the matterhorn was epic, the hotel helped us do laundry, organise transfers, ski passes, print documents and no matter what time we returned from the mountain the room was always immaculately made. Thank you to the consistently cheerful staff for making a happy stress-free holiday from checkin to checkout.

We had a marvelous stay at this quaint, beautiful boutique hotel. Mario, Katja and staff went out of their way to make us feel welcomed. They were most friendly and were extremely helpful in arranging skiing opportunities, giving restaurant advice, and making our stay more than comfortable. We enjoyed the spa, fireplace, and conversations at the bar. They helped us learn about both the community and the culture. Their breakfast buffet was amazing and delicious. This hotel has so many added touches that cater to the needs of guests, and the owners themselves work hard to make each day a successful one. I would return here in a minute and highly recommend it to anyone traveling to Zermatt! The view of the Matterhorn is also stunning from this location. Undeniably a highlight of our trip to Switzerland!!!

I honestly do not know where to start about this wonderful hotel. At the start there was a lot of uncertainty as Switzerland started to change their entry rules. I was updated by the hotel and they also delayed my payment due until more information became available. The communication was excellent from both David and Katja .
The hotel is a delight small beautifully presented with a lovely alpine feel. Our room had a lovely balcony overlooking the town next time I will get the Matterhorn view if available. The room was well designed and more luxurious than my normal ski holiday hotel. The spa facilities are just right for apres ski relaxation. The boot room for ski storage was easily the best with individual lockable lockers heated for each room. Plenty of seating and never busy.
The real highlight of the holiday was the staff. Every single member of staff were friendly and the level of service the best I have come across. I unfortunately injured my knee on the slopes and they could not have been more helpful. Special thanks to Papliaela ( I hope I got the name right) who deserves a special mention for her helpfulness.
The 5 out of 5 rating is truly deserved and I would give it a six if I could. I would normally try and add some negatives to keep things balanced but here I cannot.

The Hotel has a cosy atmosphere with familiar, friendly, yet professional service and hospitality. Rooms are cosy and comfotable. Unfortunately, we had to cut our holiday short because of a snowboarding accident, but even so, the personel did everything to make the remainder of our stay as comfortable as possible and facilitate all exeptional requests (including pick-up and drop off at the station, eat in, additional amenities, ...) following the accident. The breakfast was extra-ordinary with a wide range local and particularly tasty products. The Hotel's greatest asset is undoubtedly its people. We will be comming back here on first occasion. Thank you team Bellerive!

Cars are not allowed in Zermatt but there is a large parking garage called Matterhorn Terminal Tasch nearby. We parked our car there and took a short train ride to Zermatt. The train station has free phones for hotel pick-ups. The hotel will pick you up at the station and bring you to the hotel.
