Travelers' Choice

BEAUSiTE Zermatt has had many adventures since it was inspired by the golden age of alpinism to open its doors in 1907. It's time for a new one. We're taking our hotel to greater heights by bringing an exciting new concept to life, which is designed for alpine spirits who like walking to summits...or simply to our spa overlooking the Matterhorn.

And when we say "designed", we really mean it. Thanks to our renowned interior designer, atelier zürich, we have implemented an all-new vibrant interior with refined British cues.

So you better book before the muddy hiking shoes arrive. The renovated rooms and suites with direct views of the Matterhorn, regional culinary delights, Swiss alpine traditions and, of course, the mountains themselves, are all waiting.

Love the alps? Then join us as we launch a new Swiss golden age of alpinism with a dash of British flair!

The Good: very nice rooms, great bath amenities, AMAZING Spa facilities, insane outdoor pool, convenient location, and overall good value. The bad: sort of standoffish front desk, driver pickup at train station was a fumble, the breakfast although was free wasn't the best, the lobby bar food was not good, the worst was the overcharging and messing up of our requests. We were incorrectly charged for lift tickets, and double charged for ski lessons. I gave them a 4 due to these issues.

This was one of the best hotels we stayed at in Switzerland. We were greeted by very welcoming staff who were very patient in answering all our questions (this was our first time in Zermatt). Special mention goes out to Katharina at Concierge as well as Anika at reception, both of whom went above and beyond to help us. Our rooms (we had 2 rooms for a family of 4) were very spacious and clean, the beds were very comfortable, and we had the privilege of an extremely nice view overlooking the beautiful town of Zermatt and the Matterhorn. The restaurants in the hotel are fantastic too - we had a traditional cheese fondue meal one night and we throughly enjoyed it. It was served in a little cute house that only had 1 table (so be sure to book as early as possible). We will definitely stay at the Beausite hotel again when we come back to Zermatt!

Honestly this hotel is one of the nicest places we’ve ever stayed. It’s a beautiful place and the staff are incredible. We had our little 1 year old with us and everyone was so helpful and lovely with her. The shuttle service is brilliant and the rooms are spacious and luxurious. Comfiest bed and pillows ever! The room does get very warm but it’s easy enough to crack the window and get the wonderful fresh air in. The spa is unreal too. Would 10/10 recommend and will be returning as soon as possible.

We had the taxi pick us up from the train station. So conveneient and such great service. Check in was smooth and the staff are extremely helpful and friendly. We had a triple room and was perfect for our family of three. My son has his own little room. Room is extremely clean and very well presented. Had daily treats from mini cupcakes to pastries. The breakfast was quite substantial and it was set out extremely well. Freshly squeezed juices to an egg station. We had drinks at the bar twice and the staff were absolutely amazing. Loved the bar area. Very welcoming and relaxing. It is central to everywhere. Zermatt is small in any case but we walked to the sunnega lifts and to town as well. Zermatt is picture perfect. You won’t go wrong with this property.

Probably the nicest hotel in Zermatt. Polite, efficient customer service. Excellent breakfast is provided. Our only complaint was the lack of air conditioning - probably not a big problem most of the time in Zermatt but very warm when we were there. Best to keep curtains closed during the day.

The hotel itself was beautiful, great indoor/outdoor hot tubs. Breakfast provided in the morning was great. What was not so great was the service (or lack of service) the employees provided. On many occasions we were met with rude, condescending attitudes when interacting with the hotel staff. Extremely rude comments were made and you were made to feel very unwelcome by some. There were 2 exceptions to this, the gentleman that works at the concierge desk and the gentleman that is at the front desk in the evening/early morning. Truly disappointing as the hotel has the esthetics to be truly amazing.

If there were 6 stars I would give the Beausite the full six.The view of the Matterhorn from the terrace or outdoor pool is amazing. Our room didn’t have a Matterhorn view but it was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. As we were booked onto the first Glacier Express of the day we missed the buffet breakfast. However we were provided with a substantial picnic’ for the journey and could have supplemented this from the buffet if we’d had time. As the shuttle driver didn’t start until later than needed the hotel provided us with a taxi to the station. The reception and bar staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Zermatt was our favourite place of those we visited and the Beausite was the icing on the cake.

This hotel was a bit of a spluge for us and so worth it!!! So luxurious and the staff is just wonderful. They gave a VERY helpful tour of the hotel when we arrived. The concierge was so helpful to us and even found us at breakfast when he remembered another tip for us! The front desk staff is super friendly and helpful. We are SO happy we got a room with a view of the Matterhorn! The breakfast buffet is terrific. Do yourself a favor and book a room!
