We had no complaints about the staff. The two women we interacted with were friendly and competent. This hotel was cheaper than the other hotels we stayed at elsewhere in Switzerland and also nicer than most of them. Pros: great Matterhorn view from room 7. Nice balcony. Well kept facility. Plenty of outlets. Nice bed and pillows. Delicious Swiss breakfast... More

We went with Ski World for a week in March 2016 and thought the place was great. The rooms were all good sizes and rooms 3 up faced the Matterhorn with spectacular views. It was clean, comfortable and very well located with a bus stop to the lift stations right outside. A good boot room with boot heaters and secure... More

Prior to our trip, we had read glowing Trip Advisor reviews of Le Mazot for both the hotel and the restaurant. The location was perfect and we had received a warm and welcoming email to confirm our reservation. And then we arrived. With no real reception area, we followed instructions on a note to phone the restaurant to check in.... More

We adore this little hotel not far from the train station and close to the old town. We was a little suprised with the self-check-in but it was fine. The room 8, very clean, was very nice with balcony and attached shower room. From the bed, I can see the Matterhorn! The breakfast was also very good. If you dinner... More

We booked the hotel based on a Rick Steves recommendation. The price for our room was favorable. We had an unobstructed view of the Matterhorn. Our room was clean. These are the good points. Unfortunately, We were treated miserably and we don't understand why. We travel a great deal and have learned to leave our "Americanisms" at home where they... More

Loved the hotel and staff, but the view of the Matterhorn made our stay the best. Room was comfortable with a large balcony looking directly to the Matterhorn. Definitely would recommend this hotel without hesitation. Breakfast was good. We really enjoyed the soft boiled eggs made to order.

This is an excellent family-run hotel. The owner was very hospitable and went out of his way to make our stay memorable. He kindly offered to chill our wine in the restaurant fridge for a couple hours and provided us with wine glasses for our room. We enjoyed sipping on some wine on the balcony while taking in the incredible... More

I loved it: little hotel, nice and caring service, ten minute walk from the train station and out of the buzz of main street. This hotel has the charm of a family owned hotel and, if you are as lucky as us, you will get the magnificent view of the Matterhorn when you open your eyes!

Le Mazot is a butique Hotel in a central location of Zermatt. Just a 10 minute walk from the station there is no problem dragging your suitcases. All the shops are close by and a supermarket is on the same street as the Hotel. Le Mazot is quite small but cozy. The rooms are a reasonable size and bathroom well... More

We chose a room with a balcony and a view of the Matterhorn. On this unseasonably cool summer, we wondered if it would make its majestic appearance, as it was shrouded in clouds upon our arrival via the Glacier Express from Pontresina. First full day! Oh my goodness! Majestic and blue sky. Breakfast that morning was spectacular with our server... More
