We stayed one night in September because it was close walking distance to the railway station and the town. Daniel was most helpful from helping us with our luggage to advising us on things to see in this beautiful city on the lake. Thoroughly recommended for it's location and guest services.

Came here for a weekend in the south of Switzerland. The Hotel is located very conveniently if you arrive by train (as you usually do in Switzerland). Literally a 2 minute walk from the station but no on site parking spaces. The old town of Lugano is also only a short walk down the hill. Owners are really friendly, rooms...

Our balcony room was quiet and small, overlooking the garden and views of town, with comfy beds with nice linens. Daniel was extremely helpful to us with directions and train schedules. Albergo Stella is near the trains, buses, charming downtown with restaurants and shops. We didn't have breakfast, but wished we had, for the convenience.

We were very pleased with this hotel, the accomodations are small, bathroom not too bad according to European standards. The owner was very nice and helpful and the breakfast was nice but very limited quantities of everything. The best thing about this place is that it is clean, quiet and just about two blocks from the train station. It is...

Best thing about this hotel is the staff. The fellow at the counter was terrific at helping us find places to eat, maps for hiking and all sorts of info. BUT - this is an odd hotel. The bathrooms give me pause to recommend it. They are "pods" - a fully contained plastic unit with a toilet much like you...

The owner went the extra mile to assist in finding my lost luggage. The Stella was clean and had comfy beds. We had our own private terrace. And this Hotel has AC. High end food is a few steps from Hotel Stella.

Nice hotel close to the train station. Easy walk, very nice staff. Ground floor is easier with luggage due to stairs. Very good breakfast, with excellent bread and coffee. Quiet location, lovely flowers. Small pool with grape arbor. Breakfast tables inside or out. we enjoyed our short stay.

The hotel is near to the railway and bus station which makes it easy to move around. The hotel has been around for a longtime but is comfortable and clean.it also has a small pool. breakfast was included and was ample.I found the hotel prices in Lugano to be the most expensive of the places that I visited.

My friends and I had a great experience with this hotel. I felt very welcomed by the 2 ladies who helped as even with tips for our trip. The rooms are clean and spacious, the bathroom is small but I felt comfortable. The breakfast in that small garden was wonderful. Good value for the money.

We stayed in a triple room for one night on our way to Italy. The hotel is right behind the train station up the road and through a tunnel. It's a good deal for Switzerland, though I don't think the breakfast was. The place has a lovely garden with a tiny swimming pool. It felt very clean, the beds were...

“Our room at the front - when the windows/shutters were open - had some street noise (mainly a result of cars & motor bikes setting off uphill). Not too bad and you may well find rooms at the back have some railway noise. Would only bother light sleepers.”
