Great views to the lake, super friendly staff, walking distance from city. The food was absolutely delicious, it was a lovely experience with top level staff! They are dog friendly, made a little card with my dog’s picture and name, along with some healthy treetoes - she loooved them.

Dear Nataemi, Thank you very much for your wonderful review on TripAdvisor! We are happy to hear that you had a great stay and that you appreciated the tranquillity of our location: an oasis of peace despite being a short distance from the city centre. The breathtaking view from the terrace and rooms over the lake steals my attention every day. I never tire of admiring the play of light and colours that the sky gives us and we are glad you appreciated them. Our staff is thrilled to read your compliments about their friendliness and professionalism and the absolutely delicious food. We are especially happy that you noticed and appreciated our "Love Your Dogs" programme. For us, our customers are the centre of attention, and we know how important our beloved four-legged friends are. That's why we like to welcome them by name, along with tasty surprises. it's just one of the ways we want to show our affection for our furry guests. Thank you again for your visit and for the kind words! See you soon in Lugano!

The hotel offers an amazing view on Lake Lugano, especially in the morning, during the delicious breakfast, on the terrace. However, we were very disappointed in the room quality. Even though it was clean, there were a lot of stains (on the walls, on the lamps...). The bathroom was clean, but in such a hotel, I expect the shower to be properly fixed and not to stay in my hand when I switch it on. The service at the restaurant was decent, but the person in charge made us feel not welcome. Prices in the restaurant, not even the gastronomic one, are very high... All in all, it's not a place I would recommend for something else then a drink to enjoy the breathtaking view.

We stayed here for our honeymoon - it was glorious! The only "issue" was with Mother Nature - the wintry cold set in the day before we arrived, so we didn't get to take advantage of our gorgeous private balcony to take in views of the lake. It was quite cloudy and cold. That being said, the staff was incredible, the rooms were AMAZING, the beds were comfortable, and the spa was relaxing. The private shuttle took us to town as well as the train station. We were also able to order coffee service to our room the day we left because we had to depart early, before breakfast. I would absolutely recommend this hotel for relaxing and staying put, and for an elegant, elevated experience. It is a bit far from the downtown Lugano area, so if you plan to go out and explore, be sure to arrange transportation with the front desk (unless you have a car). All in all, a great experience!!

I really wanted to give this place 5 stars. I am a self-admitted hotel snob, and I try to find the finest and most upscale properties. This could have been it. It is arguably the best looking property in all of Lugano. The building and grounds are gorgeous. Even the hallways were gorgeous. The property looked like a 5-star hotel. The staff had 5-star hotel hospitality. And the room was well appointed and nicely decorated (teal/gray). The furniture looked pleasing to sit on (when I typically avoid sitting on hotel furniture). The views from the room and balcony were spectacular. So why did I only give it 3 stars? My first issue with the hotel was that the room had a make-shift king-sized bed that was not a king-size mattress, but instead, two twin mattresses pushed together. This was horrible!! When hotels do this, you should have a converter strip, which is simple enough to order and softly seals the crack between the two beds, so that you are not falling deep into a hole! I was there on a romantic getaway, which was very much needed, and we could not even sleep closely together. It was horrible! The pillows were also very uncomfortable. My second issue was that the room was cold, and there was no way to adjust the heat from the room. This was obviously being controlled by the hotel/staff (and, usually, only hotels that are penny pinching tend to do this!). When I questioned this, they brought a space/electric heater to our room (as if they were prepared for these types of complaints). This is a problem, and winter is coming!! Not only did the space heater NOT help, but space heaters are dangerous and can cause fires. I was very uncomfortable with the thought of guests having these heaters in their rooms and leaving out for the day with the thing still plugged in and turned on! A very close friend of mine lost his father in a hotel fire, which made the news, and this is probably how that fire started! Lastly, the rooms are on the lower level, and our room was by the dining area where breakfast was held. We were awakened at 6AM every morning (weekend) where staff starting setting up and clinging and clanging dishes, and then guests gathered and ate very loudly seemingly right outside of our room (Room A). This is a BEAUTIFUL room w/ a stunning view, but a HORRIBLE room location! [*The breakfast buffet, where you can also order a hot omelette, is very nice by the way.] In short, I would recommend this hotel and certainly revisit the hotel because of its 5-star beauty and 5-star staff, BUT I would only recommend visiting in spring and summer where the cold is less of an issue. I would also recommend a different room location away from the dining area now that I know the set up.

Charming spot with an incredible view. This hotel is all about the view, with its amazing position on one of the hills overlooking lake Lugano. At night it’s particularly beautiful, especially from the bar and restaurant. The rooms are large, comfortable and well appointed although the layout is perhaps a touch unusual. The staff were very friendly, helpful, professional and attentive

The view over Lugano is one of the best. It’s just impressive. Better you can not have it. Nice rooms, great food selection and perfectly prepared. If you stay as a guest in the hotel very nice pool area. I have to admit that service could improve a lot. No service at the pool for over 20 minutes. Then after a phone call!!! Another 20 minutes. Finally champagne arrived. But I guess this the management could really improve. I mean the glass of champagne is 26 sfr. For this to wait Appr 40 minutes is simply to long.
