We booked a family room and the nice surprise was that that it was a proper family room: two separate bedrooms with a large living room, all of them newly refurbished. We wanted to change the room with a similar one at an upper floor and the next day we were offered a new room. And as a personal touch, the family who owns the hotel organised an apero on New Year’s Eve and chatted with all the guests. A lovely stay
We are a family of 5 with teenagers/uni student “children” staying in 2 rooms. Both rooms were a really good size, clean and modern. Our 4th floor room had a great view looking towards the valley and the piste down. The location is great for skiiing - pretty much ski in and out, and 1 min ski down to main gondola. On the edge of town, but only 6 mins walk to restaurants in St Mauritz Bad and a really good Coop “upmarket” supermarket. We hadn’t realised that we’d have a kitchen in our room - we paid a small supplement to “unlock” access to the kitchen and saved a lot of money by cooking on several nights which suited us really well. Breakfast was great. What really made this hotel for us were the staff - Simone on reception is everywhere all the time, serving breakfast, drinks in the bar, really helpful with advice and friendly . The owner/Manager (not sure which) was really friendly and helpful, checking in with his guests at breakfast - my husband had an injury and they were super helpful and kind. The basement pool was great - about 15 metres long, warm and clean plus great modern saunas and steam room open until 8pm. We really rated this place - particularly the friendly atmosphere, roomy rooms and the flexibility that the kitchenette gave us. Modern but unpretentious, relaxed atmosphere - and good value for St Mauritz.…
We have been staying in July at Cervus St.Moritz. Location: Hotel is at the quiet end of a dead-end road, without public transport, in the middle of a residential multistorey house area at the edge of St.Moritz Bad. Up to the Corviglia Bahn Statiion in St.Moritz Dorf one walks 25minutes (1.8km). Down to the Signal Bahn or to any Restaurants it's 10minutes (700m). Surroundings Hotel has about 8 carpark spaces for 3x as many rooms. Unfortunately the complete garden, terraces and entrance on reception level to the Hotel are not finished and still under construction. Everywhere electricity installations, unpainted walls and plastic wrapping on the ground - it means you also cannot step outside of this Hotel to smoke or have a drink at the moment apart from going down to the parking space. It is in a residential area without restaurants, and the Hotel does not offer food for lunch or dinner. You need to walk to the center to get anything. Infrastructure Hotel reception, breakfast area and small lobby bar are newly renovated. Nice Swimming-Pool underground, though without daylight. Clean and rather big 3 Saunas underground as well (Steam / 55 / 85 degrees), unfortunately no tea or anything to drink available there, so bring your own plastic bottle. No Fitnesscenter at all. Rooms We had a room one level above standard. Quite big, with modern Flat TV. No channel list available, therefore u need to find ur programm in 240 channel yourself. Room is very quiet in the night, no traffic outside. Unfortunately one can hear the toilet flush of the rooms upstairs very loud and clear. Bed with 2 separate, basic mattrasses, and 2 single couch chairs with low table. No work table available, but can be ordered. We had no electric plugs left or right of the bed, no bedside reading lights or alarm clock. There is no coffeemachine in the room, but a watercooker. No free water in the room, all is chargeable. Bathroom had an older standard bathtub with slightly oversized plastic curtain and a single sink. Toilet is not in a separate room. Service Limited service due to COVID19 time, after 7:30pm there is no more staff around and public rooms getting dark. Helpful reception during daytime, but clearly stressed management which seems to miss the times with more guests and better revenues. Will not go the extra mile to make the guest happy and let's you feel that u pay not enough. There is no business center and every printed page is chargeable. Breakfast fine until 10am, good free flow of coffee, 2 juices and mineral water, they still offer self serve buffet with mostly european style food. Basic egg dishes can be ordered separate as usual. Conclusion A good hotel once their construction work is finished. But it's not finished now. A skilled and hopefully not stressed 24h service and management once the corona time is over. But it's not over now. And probably a 3* (not 4) hotel when all is smoothly running again. But it's not up to the standard at this moment I'm afraid...…
This accommodation is not a typical ‘hotel’. It is mirrors an ‘apartment’ offering with some 28 rooms. ‘Suite’ was clean, very spacious and reasonably furnished with basic, serviceable bathrooms & generous balcony. Very small boot room with a small bench - boasting heated boot warmers which is an excellent feature! The ‘hotel’ does not have a restaurant or bar which surprised us. So you need to take a walk into town for either. Breakfast & Afternoon snacks are offered. Kitchenettes in the room but cannot be used without paying a surcharge. Bear in mind this hotel is in a great location on the slopes but does not offer a shuttle service to town/railway station etc. There is parking if you drive to resort, but at an additional charge. Receptionist very knowledgeable & helpful. A very different hotel & suite experience to our previous stay at a St Moritz hotel.…
First time to St Moritz, I don’t recall how we selected Hotel Cervus but we pulled one out the bag. A little way out of the town centre but the bus system easily took care anything more than a short walk. On arrival we were treated by Simone, awesome girl, great help. Recommend things to see and the best way to get around and value for money eats. Breakfast is included in the room rate and was all we needed, not huge but quality. Apparently there was confusion with our booking (our travel agent?) so we received complimentary pass up the mountain. Awesome spot, especially when it’s -12, blue shy and not a breath of wind. Also helped there was no crowd. All thanks to Simone.
We lived in a very small and old furnished junior suite, where the price - performance ratio is completely wrong. We got the feeling, that the management does not know what hospitality means - so the personnel could not do it better and even felt lost in space. With some little changes, their could be achieved a lot...because the house is placed fantastic. A) There is a minibar: 2 bottles of water! Never seen in my life! B) There is a plastic curtain in the shower - just unhygienic C) There are plastic chairs in the Sauna - what a tastelessly situation and uncomfortable D) The room was no enough heated - economizing money? E) The staff felt lost in space and the young lady at the reception seemed to be overcharged during breakfast F) Breakfast: bread is partly convenient food - what a shame for that price and the staff not able to maintain the buffet G) When we arrived we were asked for the credit card but nobody offered us a glass of water.... H) We wanted to leave earlier but the young lady at the reception was talking about principles during year end due to the heavy booking situation - we checked on booking.com and at least 3 rooms were open! money oriented instead of costumer oriented - and customers are not stupid! I) The chef moved around, but did not feel necessary to present himself - what a bad role model! J) When we left, nobody asked us, how we felt - I guess they do not want to know... We recommend not to book until changes have happened!…
Very nice and newly renovated (Alpine style) hotel. Especially well suited for a skiing trip as it is located right next to the valley end of the slopes and the cable car. Slightly extended walking distance from the town centre. Very friendly and acommodating host. Not cheap, but this is St. Moritz.
This is a family run hotel in a quiet loacation away from town. We were given a warm welcome when we arrived and the staff were very accommodating and helpful. We spent four nights at the Hotel Cervus and it was a great experience. The hotel is located outside of the main town of St-Moritz in a residential area, it's a short walk to one of the main tele cabins that serve the skiing area's, but as it was May when we went, it was closed. It's a 20 minute walk into the centre of town. The hotel has its own restaurant which again being May was closed, but the breakfasts were excellent with plenty of choice. The room we had was a suite with a balcony and a good view of the mountains. It was very quiet and we got a good nights sleep. We were in the Engadine for walking which was great & after a hard days walk, we relished & enjoyed the hotel spa facilities. May is a quiet month in St-Moritz but we really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We would recommend this hotel…
Lovely rooms. Sauna facilities and Hallenbad are really nice. They were helpful by providing Gluten Free Bread upon request. All that you could ask for in a hotel here in St Moritz. Breakfast was also very nice
This hotel is a total disaster. In Trivago it is listed as a 4 Star however by the Hotelier Vereinigung St. Moritz it is listed as a 3 Star. To my opinion it even does not deserve this. It is an absolute rip off, the beds are lousy at the pictures everything looks beautiful but in reality it is ugly. Do not book this hotel
