This is the hotel where I met my wife! We were in room 216 on the montains! and I still remember the flowering smell of the violet bed and the taste of that first breakfast together... A magic place for your dreams... Facilities: perfect. Wifi: excellent. Staff: helpful and professional.

The room is spacious, the team is very freindly and professional. The 4 o'clock tea with live piano music is giving a home feeling. The parking was a problem, but the team dealt with it perfectly, taking the car to the parking place and bringing it back, when needed.

It’s hard to know what to say about our stay at the Arosa. To coin a phrase, it is a hotel of two halves. Starting with the positives, it is well located just a 4 minute drive from Inner Arosa and the Swiss ski school with a hotel bus leaving every half hour to give you lifts to and from....

We had a disappointing 4 nights stay at The Excelsior between Xmas and NY. I struggle to see how the 4 Star rating fits. It is an old, dark and dingy building, its only positive is the location. Rooms were adequate and clean but nothing special. WiFi hardly ever worked. The dining room was below average for both breakfast and...

Our family spent there 6 days and we were pleased by the beauty of the place and the extremely nice staff - at the reception, in the dining room - just everywhere! My special thanks goes to the manager Mr. Thorsten Knocke who was friendly and understanding to all our needs. I would recommend this hotel to anybody who would...

We spent a weekend with the family at the Excelsior and enjoyed our stay. We were pleasantly surprised by the staff who were extraordinarily friendly and helpful. They organized tickets to shows (Arosa Humor Festival) and a pick-up from the train station, and everything worked our perfectly. It seems as if the hotel is under new management, and they are...

We took our Christmas and newyears holiday at the Excelsior. I looked carefully at the available hotels in Arosa and was aware of some mixed reviews in the past but those were also under old management. Now there is a new and vibrant couple running the hotel and i must say, they really make their guests the number 1 priority....

We stayed here for one night Dec 24/25th. Very friendly receptionist, great breakfast buffet. The extra goodies included the free Minibar (Beer and soft drinks) and the afternoon cake/sweets buffet. The rooms are nice. Only the bathroom is a bit outdated. Regardless, everything is very clean. I can only recommend The Excelsior.

Background: family with two kids in for a long weekend skiing break. Used to staying in 4*-5* hotels in Europe and the US. Positives: Mostly attentive personnel, relaxed atmosphere, good breakfast and dinner, nice views, a few interesting decor elements in the common areas. Negatives: tiny very cold pool with only 4 lounge chairs, tiny sauna area, some areas including...

The answer first -- my family had excellent vacation in The Excelsior this January! From the very beginning we felt a very professional and personal approach to our needs and requests. As a result, the hotel staff have made our trip with two very active little boys very-very easy and pleasant. I would definitely recommend The Excelsior as a family...

“Most all rooms offer spectacular views. Frugal travelers like myself will purchase groceries at nearby supermarket to save on high costs of dining in Arosa. There is an Italian dell down the slope near city center which attracts local workers. I did not try though.”
