A great place for families and bunches of friends - loads and loads of space. Great service and smiley friendly team. The owners and their team looked after us so well, especially the days it dumped huge amounts of snow and we decided to stay in and play. A real home from home. Great food, great team, cosy ....ah

My family and I stayed at Chalet Runca in March while we went skiing. Three young couples, 2 4year old kids, 1 older guest. Helen and Michael run the chalet. They live in a cottage attached to the property and literally tend to all your needs. As vegetarians, they really went above and beyond. We generally find it hard to...

Helen and Mike Onions are simply the best hosts. We had a wonderful holiday in the beautiful Chalet Runca. This was our second visit because our previous holiday had been such a success. We were so comfortable and well looked after. Arosa is fantastic for skiing and so picturesque all set around it's frozen lake. Really gorgeous, thank you again.

What a BRILLIANT place to stay. We were there for a week with our baby daughter, sister's family, including 3 kids, my parents and 3 friends too. Helen and Mike were welcoming, straightforward and provided us with a fantastic stay. The chalet is large, well-appointed and comfortable. Arosa is a great place for a ski holiday. We are all good...

Chalet Runca was recommended to us by friends, and we weren't disappointed. It really is a lovely chalet in a great location. There is a bus stop right outside giving easy access by bus to and from the slopes - no need to walk in those cumbersome ski boots! Mike and Helen were very accommodating hosts and happy to give...

Great property, kind and caring family. lovely atmosphere and plenty to do for the little ones in this charming kids friendly village which we enjoyed much more than the nearby St Moritz and Davos. Rooms are all good size and there was enough room for 5 adults and 6 children. Kids enjoyed the ski school very much

I couldn't have been happier with my visit to Chalet Runca. The Onions family are very welcoming and provided exquisite dinners and hearty breakfasts that really made this a ski trip to remember. The house is beautiful and tastefully furnished as well as being really convenient. I loved being able to ski home!

Chalet Runca is a little piece of luxury tucked away in a Swiss village that makes you forget whatever world you left behind. Helen and Mike's hospitality complements the experience, with great food and wine, not forgetting the cake and cuba libres (my contribution!) on the sun soaked balcony, after a day's skiing in the picturesque valley of Arosa. I...

We have just returned from a week long catered stay at Chalet Runca in Arosa. It was a wonderful holiday with excellent snow, sunshine and grandparents, four siblings and their families, with six grandchildren, all under one roof for the first time! We all traveled distances to Arosa to be together, from California, Colorado and New York in the US,...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Beautiful spacious traditional chalet with quality fixtures, fittings & facilities. Ideal for family parties and groups, wishing for lovely accommodation with superb catered service, or the flexibility of self catering. Chalet Runca is located in the sunny high altitude alpine bowl of Arosa. It has plenty of winter sports and activities to do right on its doorstep (open air ice skating, tobogganing, running, horse & sleigh...). The 5 minute door to door ski bus is fantastic for families - we take the hassle out of holidaying with babies and young children. ... more   less

“loved the top floor rooms the best... but they are all characterful”

“Older guests should occupy the rooms on the lower level to avoid climbing too many stairs. Would not recommend for little children below 2 years as you will have to CONSTANTLY keep an eye on them at this house Better for a family with kids and not couples only Master bedroom with balcony has the best view”
