The hotel is peaceful, set in beautiful surroundings. The rooms are comfortable and it was lovely to wake up to stunning mountain views. What makes the Edelweiss outstanding is the staff. Nothing was too much trouble for owner Daniel or his assistant Tomas. Flight and train delays meant we did not arrive until nearly 9pm. Chef Matthias stayed late to ensure we had the full 4 course evening meal. Matthias also went to great lengths to ensure that our disabled son had food which he would enjoy. Meals were plentiful and varied, and again, nothing was too much trouble for Sarah and Claudia in the restaurant. Ursulina gave a friendly welcome in the afternoons when we returned from skiing. Some little extras made such a difference to us English guests. We appreciated having 24 hour access to hot water, coffee and a selection of teas, including English Breakfast and Earl Grey. Unless you like cream in your tea, we’d recommend buying your own milk from the Coop. It was good to have a toaster which could take all the lovely varieties of Swiss bread. The games room with table tennis and table football was a hit with our grandchildren, and we appreciated having 3 different sitting rooms where we could congregate as a family. Before we arrived, we had some concerns about the 5-10 minute walk uphill to the train station and cable car. The more energetic in our group were happy to walk. Daniel solved the problem for those of us needing to save our legs for skiing. A local taxi firm collected us each morning. Walking back downhill was not a problem. It was our first stay at the Edelweiss. It will not be our last. Thank you Daniel and all the staff.

You can take for granted the stunning setting but the warmth and care of the people who welcome you are what makes a stay special. The Hotel Edelweiss excels in hospitality. It's a great place for families with space for kids to play indoors and out. The food is nourishing and varied. Compliments to the management for creating a wonderful homely feel and natural warmth. Highly recommend.

I stayed at Hotel Edelweiss for five nights. The room was comfortable and cleaning service came everyday and made things nice. The food is FANTASTIC! We had a buffet breakfast that had everything you would want/need. In the evening, the dinner was fixed, with as a several course meal. It was amazing what they were able to do with everyone who was eating. Every night was different. Sooo tasty! The owner, Daniel was such a friendly and hospitable and friendly. All the staff, from the front desk, to the wait staff in the restaurant, to the cleaning staff were very friendly and helpful. The town of Wengen is very central to much of what you would want to do in the Jungfrau area. It is not too big that it feels over touristy and not too small that you couldn't get things you would need. I would come back hear in a heartbeat if/when we return to Wengen.

We spent 5 nights in this hotel, and it was a true blessing! Stunning view from our room (and from the restaurant too) to the breathtaking mountains, the food at the hotel restaurant was top, the room was clean and the bed was pretty comfy. The staff was very kind and friendly, and just simply the hotel has a nice, cozy atmosphere. If you wanna spend some time at the most beautiful area of the world, I can tell you, Hotel Edelweiss is a good choice!

This was my favorite hotel during all of my stay in Switzerland.. it’s about 7 -17 min walk to Wengen station, depending on whether you’re going to the hotel (downhill) or to the station(uphill). The room was clean, we didn’t get the Mountain View , but even the views are fantastic. The hotel manager/ reception was extremely polite and friendly . The best part is breakfast.. the spread is awesome with multiple variety of yogurt, cheese options. The views around this hotel are fantastic.

This was the perfect place for resting. The hotel service was excellent, the staff always nice. The food was delicious every day - with Swiss specialties and the chef's recommendations for wine. Very quiet and breathtaking place, nearby many hike possibilities. I just felt incredibly relaxed by the end of the week. Thank you!!

Superb atmosphere from a top notch staff team and on-site owner who cares so intently for his guests. Stunning location and views. I had a private balcony in room 204 with the attached view. Food and drink was wonderful, and the mountain village very peaceful but not ill-equipped. Would go back again in a heartbeat.

A cute hotel nestled in the mountains. Beautiful views, and cozy rooms. A must for our door seekers, with loads of nature activities such as hiking trails nearby. The village itself is very pretty too with lots to explore there as well. Highly recommended.
