The hotel is located about a 10 - 15 minute walk from the town however there is a bus that stops right in front for which you are provided a traveller pass when you check-in. The staff is extremely friendly and with my lack of German they truly made an effort to communicate. The parking is located directly in front...

The name of this hotel does absolutly reflect its situation; provided one gets a room in the front, the panorama is quite spectacular with a view on the Eiger and other mounts of Grindelwald. The rooms are basic but OK. In any case unless it's snowing you will spent most of your time outside in this outstanding resort. The place...

Went with an open mind due to some mixed reviews. Also the price was descent as per Swiss standards so was worried about quality. There is a restaurant i the ground floor which we did not try. Pros: The hotel turned out to be very good - no major complaints. We were arriving late so we called ahead and Monica...

The mountain view makes this stay fantastic! An otherwise clean but basic room with no frills. Wifi is available in public areas, rather than in rooms. The location is a little out of town, but the #21 bus stops literally right outside the door every hour or there's another version of #21 that stops at nearby Hotel Bodmi every hour...

Stayed here for one night at short notice with 5 friends in 3 rooms. The rooms are simple and each room had a balcony and private bathroom . There is a TV also. The beds were actually a double but with 2 mattresses on the same base. We ate dinner in the restaurant which was good value (for Switzerland) and...

The hotel's name says it all. We loved the view of Eiger from our little balcony. The rooms and breakfast were in the "nice" category. Nothing fancy but fine. If you look on the map you'll see it is located a ways uphill from the town. Free parking. Price seemed high but everything in Switzerland is outrageous.... We got free...

We spent 3 nights during summer. If you do not have a car, the location is a bit inconvenient. However the view is unbeatable. There is a bus every hour and last bus around 6.30. It isn't too far to walk uphill to the hotel but if you come with luggage, you might wanna come for check-in before there is...

The Gasthof is really a restaurant with rooms, and the bar serves as reception. I stayed 5 nights, and took the half-board option - a really good 4-course fixed-menu meal (except Mondays) for CHF 25. It's like a slightly chaotic family: lots to eat, plenty of laughs, and rather poor communication: e,g. you need to ask about meal-times (which are...

It's a little further off from the usual stretch of hotels in Grindelwald central, but there is a public bus which drops you off right outside. I think we were there on down season, didn't see anyone else there other than our group. It's a family run place so don't expect luxury, just character. On our arrival, we were greeted...
