I booked Hotel Spinne with the intention that this segment of our trip would be a "splurge". The rooms looked beautiful on the website and I reserved a room with the "Eiger View". It was very easy to find - just straight up the street...More
The Spinne Hotel is fantastically located in the hearth of Grindelwald, which is a nice village in the middle of the Alps. Our double and renovated room in front of the Eiger offered spectacular views and was very cleaned as well. Cleanliness everywhere by the...More
We had a very nice room with a balcony overlooking the mountains. It was a convenient location for checking out the sights. The breakfast that was included was good. The room was very clean. The staff were friendly & helpful.

Contact Hotel Spinne via email at mailto:email@example.com re room vacancies. You can cat a train at Grindelwald which takes you to the top of the Jungfrau, known as Jungfraujoch. Get the earliest train (7:15am) for the best views of a very beautiful area.
Glacier 3000 is Col-Du-Pillon Glacier 3000 and is 87kilometers from Grindelwald and will lake about 1.5hours to reach but is a very nice journey. You can get the cable car to the glacier. To get to Mount Titlis you travel to Engelberg which is 99 kilometres from Grindelwald and get the Engelberg Titlisbahn cable car up to Mount Titlis. Again is is a very pleasant car journey. Both Col-du-Pillon and Mount Titlis cable cars have large car parks available. All these locations are visually beautiful and well worth the visit. The roads in Switzerland are very good and you can travel about the country very quickly. Hope this helps and wish you a very pleasant holiday. Regards Alan
I recently stayed at the Hotel Spinne (July '15). We were charged 5 Swiss francs per day for parking. Parking is limited so inform the hotel that you require a car park reservation.
