Fantastic hotel, the prices are up there but rooms, the really wonderfull dedicated staff, really astonishing classic food (fit for a michelin star 2019!) topingredients and kitchen staff, amenities, welness, tennis, wonderfull pools are worth it. Dont mistake other a bit cheaper hotels with Gstaad palace. This is the real deal, worth it. The rooms with a warm classic style, not the modern brown/grey we see everywhere, the pastas are to die for incredible, but the swiss food try the veal sausage infused with brie and truffel with rosti and the memorable onion sauce......They have a different chef for italian, swiss, indian and it shows! Thank you for a wonderfull experience. And yes: we want to keep this secret to ourselves.....

A great 10 day stay with my family. Perfect accommodations with connecting rooms parents/children, first class attention from housekeepers, concierges, restaurant staff, pool attendants, reception clerks and others. Excellent food and the words “no” or “not possible” simply do not exist in this hotel vocabulary.

Heaven on earth., We had an incredible stay from start to finish. My room was just spectacular, I loved waking up every morning to views of the mountains . The staff were warm and so attentive and the crème de la crème is the food. Wish I got more time to the lounge at the pool/spa area. I would go back in a heartbeat.

The best hotel we've stayed at. We loved our time here and didn't want to leave. I expected it to be beautiful from the photos, but what sets this hotel apart is the service. It's family-run and has a warm feel - all of the staff went out of their way to make us welcome - professional, but friendly and accommodating. They are impeccably trained and the hotel invests in their learning over time. It was our son's 8th birthday the day we arrived - the house-keeping staff had decorated the room with balloons, a castle and a card and gift - a wonderful surprise. (he was so blown away he wrote a thank you note to the manager). The concierges helped us to plan various excursions, including booking train tickets, hand-delivering them to us in town and checking if the hikes were suitable for children. The waiters in the Lobby Bar and restaurants were brilliant and remembered our orders (my daughter loved the Fizzy Citron drink the barman recommended for her). We have never stayed anywhere so welcoming to children (but not over-run with families either ;)). The location and facilities are picture-perfect - surrounded by mountains and a 5-minute walk into town. The four clay tennis courts are superb (my husband thoroughly enjoyed the Roy Emerson tennis week with Roy and Joy) and the Olympic-sized swimming pool the most glorious, idyllic place to relax (with great food) - we also loved the indoor pool and jacuzzi. I didn't use the spa but other guests were raving about the massages. The Lobby Bar has a special history and feels glamorous but relaxed. We ate breakfast and dinner (and the occasional lunch) at the Grand Restaurant - the food was beautiful and the dessert buffet on Saturdays rates a special mention. We had adjoining rooms (300 and 328) - both were super comfortable, with Molten Brown amenities and thoughtful touches (water, fruit, even a bookmark placed in the book on my nightstand!). We have been lucky enough to stay at wonderful hotels around the world including Four Seasons, Shangri-La, the Splendido, the Carlyle - but I honestly can't think of a better one for stunning location, facilities and impeccable, warm hospitality. We can't recommend it highly enough - hoping to return soon!

Dear AdelaideAnna Thank you so much for your marvellous feedback and we are so happy that you spent such a great time with us. It was as well special for us to have you as a family with us. Everybody in the hotel knows the hand written letter from your 8 years old boy. It was really a special treat for us that he took the time to write this letter. Once again, thank you for sharing your experience and we look forward to welcome you back at the Gstaad Palace on another occasion. Best wishes, Barbara Branco-Schiess Guest Relations Manager

Once upon a time...the Palace feels like being in the middle of a fairytale. We stayed there with our 3 kids and had such a great time. The room was very comfortable and is for sure one of the most charming rooms I‘ve every stayed at . During the day we spent our time going to the village, doing short hikes or just staying at the hotel. The pool/SPA area is great to relax and the kids can play in the kids area (there was very kind lady from the hotel taking care of them), explore the neigbourhood or swim in the pool. Do we go back again? Yes, for sure and hopefully soon. Thanks to the whole staff for their service, especially to the kind waiter delivering daily various variations of hot chocolate, foam, milk, milk with a little bit chocolate powder to our kids according to their mood (which changed about 5 times within half an hour:-)).
