Be sure you understand that this is an old school, shared bathroom/shower property. We missed that in the booking but on arrival the lady at the desk was amazingly welcoming and started our whole stay off on a great footing. The property is very CLEAN and well run. Sleep quality was actually some of the best we have had in a long time in a European property. Location is perfect...10 min walk to the train and easy walk to the Old Town and Lake. Quite perfect along with a great breakfast
The hotel was perfectly convenient for a single person as myself who came to Luzern just for one night, the time to visit an art exhibition. The room was very simple, no tv, no bathroom (located at the same stair for all the rooms. But it was totally clean at the 4th floor with elevator. The staff is totally friendly and efficient, the breakfast is excellent and included in the price, and you stay in a very quiet street, 15 minutes of tte historical centre and railways’ station. Amend all that for 84 Swiss francs… like a joke in such a touristic spot in one of the most expensive countries all over the world. And the exhibition of works of David Hockney was really fantastic. So try it , it’s worth
Decent hotel with a very good location. They will provide city transport for a specific zone (to e se nearby attractions) and wifi on arrival. Breakfast was really good. Staff is helpful and professional. Clean rooms and bathrooms. And the balcony view is just awesome.
This hotel was about 15 minutes walk from the train station. We also had room 401 and it was huge. It was like a small apartment with our own private washroom. There is a school I think near by because we could hear a band practicing . It was nice. This room had a separate room for the closet and bathroom. There are no tv's at least in our rooms but I am not sure if all the rooms are like that. There is a large Tv room and a room for playing cards etc. The breakfast was included and was amazing. Great selection. This hotel is in an area with apartment buildings and is not right in the heart of the city. Doors are locked at 9pm and they tell you that you need to have your hotel key to open up the door. Very nice staff. Would stay again. A very big thank you to Stephen and Patrick for all their help.…
Excellent hotel Simple, clean, perfect location and friendly. Reasonable price. Hotel is in a very quite residential area of the city. No sound pollution at all. On the top it is 10 minutes walk from the central railway station. We enjoyed spending a night in this hotel. Only missing part was that no TV in the room. We stayed in room 401. Big room with double bed and attached shower. Room is plenty of light and fresh air.
It was my first visit in Lucerne and I stay at this beautiful Hotel. It's just few minutes walk from the Lucerne Train Station. Check in was very fast, staff was kind and courteous. I love the free chocolates at the Lobby. The room I book is really spacious with great view of the city. Breakfast in also great love the hot beverages. The hotel is walking distance to most Attractions in the city. If I'll be able to visit again the City of Lucerne I definitely stay again at this Hotel.
We had a great stay breakfast included in good value short distance from the train station by bus number one we used our Swiss pass, would stay there again rooms were very clean they also have rooms with showers in them Very nice staff very helpful also great Italian restaurant very close by just ask at the front desk
Well placed hotel in Lucerne , easy and good connectivity and all possible with the public transport pass given by the hotel. Though the bathrooms were shared but overall its a neat and clean hotel. Hot rooms were a problem so had to open the windows a little as entire Europe was quite hot this summers.
· This is by far the best place you can stay in Lucern on a budget, the entire hotel is fantastic, the room was really large and comfortable, incredibly neat and clean, I need also to thank the amazing friendly staff who made us feel like home the entire stay from the 2 ladies who checked us in to the kind gentleman who checked us out, they provided us with a great room that from the windows we could see the Alps and a beautiful garden in front (I really hope the 2 ladies who checked us in read this) I can not thank you enough for providing that room the view was so beautiful and we got stunned by it all the time we wake up. Bathrooms are shared but you shall not worry about it, they are very well cleaned providing great privacy and breakfast is also to be compliment, even tough offers only the basic, everything is really fresh and delicious! The location is perfect, walking distance from the train station and you can get almost to entire Lucern by walking!…
We stayed here 3 nights. The hotel is walkable from the train station. The hotel gives you a pass to use the public transportation while staying with them which was a plus. The rooms are clean, large and basic. There was no tv in our room or no air conditioning which was a problem during the heat wave that hit the city. The beds only have comforters which was so hot to sleep with and woke up hot all night long. We had the window open but that did not help. Next time I would take the comforter cover off and use as a sheet. After traveling for 18 hours we were tired but too hot to sleep. We bought our pass for Mt Pilatus from here and saved the time of getting ticket from a long line and saved a few dollars. The breakfast was repeated every morning, just OK and nothing special. Compared to other hotels this had the best rate/…
