Staff - friendly and helpful towards info about the cute town of engelberg. She gave us suggestions for a restaurant and a near hiking trail. Rooms- felt like my grandmothers bed and breakfast. was very outdated, leaving beds very very uncomfortable. However, the balcony had a fantastic view. Our three person room was a nice size but the two person...

You park outside for free, checkin to a room with balcony and an incredible view. Head down to the heated outdoor jacuzzi and request a glass of wine while snow falls on your head. Then freshen up and take a 10 minute stroll into town to the Monestry's restaurant with incredible food from Sicily. What a stay in Engelberg.

We stayed for one night only with our two year old one. Everything is ok, but not above average. E.g. there's no comfortable room for a good read after the little one went to bed. The room around the bar is too crowed with tables and chairs. I was also surprised, that no special plates and cups were offered for...

Awesome day trip from Zurich. Completely surrounded by huge mountains, this town will let you relax. Everything is a short walk from the train station. Several mom n pop chocolate stores are worth trying. The cable car up the mountain is a bit pricy but worth it.

When we got off the train, we called the hotel, someone answered, and said they would be right down in five minutes. Arriving to pick us up was the owner, Suzanne, so very pleasant and nice. She took us a little bit around the small town and then up to the hotel. Then periodically throughout our stay she would see...

The owner Susanne picked me up at the train station and dropped me off. Very friendly and gave me a courtesy upgrade to a balcony room with a view. Dinner and breakfast were very good, and half board rate inexpensive.

This was our first trip to Switzerland as a family and we wanted to spend some time walking in the mountains but based from a family friendly resort and hotel. To say we picked the right place to visit and stay would be an understatement. Having phoned ahead to check our reservation was ok, and boarded the train from Zurich...
