Detailed Reviews
Ski Lodge Engelberg is perfectly located 2 minutes from the ski resort bus for skiers. They have a handy equipment room in the basement which is easily accessible and the walls are heated. The bar food is excellent and they can lay claim to the best burger in town (we tried other restaurants but their burger was best.) The reception and bar staff were super friendly and helpful. I booked a mountain view room but my room faced the train station (not a big deal.) Strangely the bed duvet did not appear to be changed once in 5 days which was a little odd. The atmosphere in the bar is great and it's definitely the place to be for apres ski. Downside: We were disappointed that the staff refused to accomodate our request to order the vegetarian burger from the bar menu in the main restaurant. They only had one vegetarian option on the entire restaurant menu which is very poor and after spending, collectively, nearly €5,000 to stay in their hotel, it's not unreasonable to ask for this one small thing when the food is cooked in the same kitchen. So, they lose a point for that. It seemed petty to refuse.

+1
We have just returned from a 5 night stay at the ski lodge and it was the best ski hotel we have stayed in.
The staff are all super friendly, food AMAZING, hot tub beautiful and rooms tastefully furnished. We stayed in the corner bedroom, which is huge and has a lovely balcony looking out over the garden.
The hotel bar is always very buzzing with other local skiers and the restaurant fully booked every night. We opted for the skiers diner every night which is 3 courses for 65 CHF and the food exceptional.
The hotel is located only about 5 min walk from the ski lift and seconds away from the train station (no train noise!)
We can’t wait to come back.

We stayed here as part of a Topdeck tour and absolutely loved it! The lodge is gorgeous, with magnificent views of the mountains. Would recommend eating here too, the bar food was really good and very reasonably priced (compared to the other local options). Staff are lovely. Would love to come back!

Me and my family, husband and 3 children spent our New Year's Eve dinner at the Ski Lodge restaurant. We decided to go there because we spent a couple of nights at the club and we loved the place and the ambient.
They attended me very well through email when reserving for the New Year's dinner, although the price was the highest we know in Engelberg, we dicided to give it a try. At the beginning they tried to offer us they're 157.00 CHF menu per each member of the family, which consisted of 6 courses and no drinks included. Since my elder child is vegan and the youngest don't eat that much I asked for a vegan menu and 2 children's menus. My husband and I had to pay 65.00 extra each for the drinks. The food was ok but the portions of each course where ridicolous. The glass of wines where filled the minimum and just once and we felt that the waiter was hoping to end up the night as soon as possible and kicked as out before the count down. We are a Spanish family and we are used to celebrate this special night with meaning. You cannot pay more than 600 CHF and give this sort of service. Right before the countdown and after paying, we ordered more drinks and they wanted us to ask for then at the pub which was full packed and impossible to get thru. A very nice couple we met during dinner had to talk for us and ask the manager to offer us the drinks, amazing!

Stayed three nights, Thursday to Sunday and did day hiking in the Engelberg area in end of July, beginning of August.
Super friendly staff that was treating us like part of the family. Room on third floor was corner room with newly renovated room and bathroom. Very fresh and Scandinavian feel. We had shared balcony with room next door overlooking the mountains and beautiful sunsets.
Both breakfast and dinner was fresh and made with good ingredients. Grazia who was taking care of the breakfast room is making sure everything is perfect and everyone is happy. She is pretty much the perfect hostess.
Dinner menu on summer is quite short with only a few set choices, but the burgers are really good and the "poke bowls" was fresh with lots of pickled stuff and Japanese omelet in top that made it very tasty and quite filling.
In all we really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back!

Family member wedding. There for 2 nights. Very clean. Not typical for American accommodations (I.e. bathroom sink in main room, small shelf for night stand) so took a little adjusting. That said, the room we had (36) has a bathroom, shower with a door to a balcony and an kind of adjoining room that works well for a family. The highlight of this place was the service which is 6 out of 5 stars. Hardest working people I’ve seen in a long time. And despite that always super nice and helpful. Breakfast offered (not sure if typical or part of the wedding package) typical of European standards and good coffee. Grounds are beautiful. Very close to the gondola station for Mount Titlis. Right near the train station and nice little town. I think typically a ski lodge type accommodation but really nice in summer too. Probably a great weekend spot for a couple. Enjoy and thanks to the staff for making it a great weekend!

If you love skiing, great food and a great atmosphere in a very cool Boutique Hotel; this is the place! They have everything you could possibly need ski wise & the staff are a really good team. The Chef went to enormous trouble to accommodate our vegan requirements for every meal. We felt thoroughly spoilt and relaxed having had some superb skiing......we'll be back!

I have already spent a few nights at the Skilodge several times and will probably do so again in the future. The people are just incredibly friendly and helpful. Some hot water for a tea in the evening in a thermos? No problem!
The breakfast is rich and of great quality. 5 different juices, super muesli bar with warm porridge, local coffee, honey milk, various breads & croissants - what more could you want?!
The rooms almost all have a breathtaking view of the mountains and I have so far always been lucky with the bathroom, they were always very generous and very nice.
For me, clearly the number 1 when it comes to a time out with charm and cool atmosphere.

Had a great week with my family skiing and hiking. The atomospere of the hotel was extremely friendly and welcoming. The food (Skiers dinners) was a great ending of each day. Conveniently located next to trainstation and bus to the Titlis lift.

A great little hotel with a familiar feeling right from the start. The staff makes you feel more than welcome, they do their absolute best to ensure you have a pleasent stay. The rooms are comfortable and genuine cozy, the restaurant "Konrad" are great and the bar, wich have after ski every day with a lot of locals hanging around, have a nice vibrant pulse. I very much recommend this hotel!

Hi,
Swissrent Quatro are very near and you get 10 percent off when you are staying in the Engelberg Lodge.
Have a lot of fun, the area is great
Hi Guys,
Sorry for the late reply. We are a quite small hotel and we do our very best to keep up to date on all of the messaging functions provided by the different social medias, unfortunately I missed this one completely. Thanks for reminding me!
We do not offer transportation in the summer, but would gladly help if there is a need for it or the timings are outside regular train schedule, otherwise the trainstation is 20 meters from our hotel, and it will take you to Luzern in 47 minutes.
Hope to see you on our doorstep soon,
Sanne, Ski Lodge Team
Hi Angela,
No unfortunately there is no laundry service provided in the village.
Hope you had a good trip,
Sanne, Ski Lodge Team
Hello fellow Queenslander! There was 3 inches of snow when we were there in the middle of winter. I remember the staff telling us that there is no snow in Engleberg in summer, but you probably can see snow at the peak of Mount Titlis (8 minute walk to cable car station, 15 minute ride up). Engleberg in summer must look beautiful too when the lush greens all pop up with the majestic alps in the background. Hope this helps.
