If you are deciding right now which hotel to pick in Geneva, I will spare you some time - Beau-Rivage it is. Not only does it worth every cent you spend, but they go above and beyond to exceed your wildest expectations. From my check-in to my check-out the experience was flawless, and I am what they call a difficult client to please. I had a long flight, didn’t expect much, was tired. Requested a regular black car to pick me up at the airport through the hotel. They sent a Maybach with the most wonderful driver, who kindly informed me that the hotel was waiting for me. When I arrived everyone were just amazing. The bellman was very helpful, gentlemen at the reception was most welcoming. I was excited already, when I was informed my room was upgraded to an even nicer one with the terrace and the most gorgeous view. The room Roof Top Terrace Roger Moore was beyond, every detail - exquisite. Foyer, walk-in closet, very spacious bathroom with dressing table, bathtub and a shower/steaming room, most comfortable bed. I was traveling with my little dog, so they very generously prepared pet cushion, bowls and a bottle of Evian especially for her. Extremely dog friendly. Room was very clean, which is most important to me. Ordered a room service not expecting anything like what I got - it was out of this world steak with the best mashed potatoes. The level of food for the room service is just unreal. Good wine selection. For sure one of the best meals in Geneva. Now the breakfast - it is a la carte, mine was fully included. It is hands down one of the best breakfasts in the world. It is situated in a very cosy room, just a few tables, the vibe is great. Staff is most attentive. They start you with bread basket - the most delicious, fresh and fluffy croissants, pain au chocolat, raisin rolls and more. The menu selection is perfect and the food is truly haute cuisine. Coffee - perfect, also most important to me. Everything else was the same - exceeding expectations every step of the way. It is the epitome of luxury. Every single member of staff do their very best to make you feel so welcomed. They truly want you to have the best time. This is a very special place and i hope it stays this way. I will always choose Beau-Rivage hotel in Geneva. Best experience, unforgettable memories. Thank you so much. …
The Hotel Beau Rivage in Geneva is an elegant, beautiful, boutique hotel which is well located with lake views just opposite the Jet. And we really liked that it was small and boutique rather than too big and sterile. We stayed here for 4 nights, and wished we didn't have to leave! Our suite was just amazing, with a double balcony overlooking the lakefront. The room was spacious, bright and lavishly furnished and the bathroom facilities were fantastic. We dined in their renowned Michelin restaurant Le Chat Botte, which is a "must-do" experience. But we also loved the more casual, but still beautiful bar and dining area, where breakfast is served. The staff were all so friendly, obliging and attentive - the level of professionalism and service was exceptional. We always think as travellers that this is often the factor that makes a hotel/accomodation just that much more special and memorable. A truly gorgeous hotel stay where you are ensconced in the luxurious history of this most elegant Geneva landmark. We hope to return again sometime.…
A faded grande dame desperately in need of renovation. Lobby is sad and depressing with furnishings that should have been replaced years ago. We were initially assigned an unrenovated room with a partial lake view (despite having paid for full lake view). The room was an absolute disgrace, with a musty smell, creaky floors, faded carpet, and tired, dated furnishings. This was not even a three star quality room, let alone the five stars which the property claims. The arrogant front desk staff refused to give us a renovated lake view room without payment of a substantial upcharge. We also had an extremely disappointing (and extraordinarily expensive) dinner in the pop-up fondue restaurant, La Terrasse Alpine. We've had much better fondue elsewhere in Switzerland for a quarter the price we paid here. Service at dinner was slow and indifferent - the only thing our waiter was good at was upselling us to more expensive menu options. The sole bright spots at this otherwise overrated property were the doorman and the breakfast, both of which were exceptional. Overall, worst experience ever at a Swiss hotel. Would never return.…
Excellent hotel! Beautiful exterior overlooking the lake. Also a great location for shopping, etc. The owners are carrying out a thorough and sensitive renovation and I was fortunate to have a newly renovated room - elegant, quiet and very comfortable. All the staff I had dealings with from check in to check out were professional and charming and I felt very welcome. The bar was warm, characterful and comfortable and, again, great drinks and service.
The Hotel provided my Wife and I with a memorable overnight stay. Couldn't find fault in any aspect of our time there. The Staff, the Room, the Restaurant were all of the highest standard. We will certainly return.
Spacious room with a serene view of the lake, thoughtful amenities, helpful concierge, delicious breakfast daily, ideal location with so much walkable, wonderfully historic hotel, in a beautiful city!
Very good hotel and great location… very friendly and with excellent hospitality hotel team. The rooms itself are very clean, however the view (if not the lake view) isn’t the best. Thanks and for sure I’ll come back for longer stay
Reserved a block of three rooms. Lake view standard had amazing views and surprisingly large. Roof top city view offered a large balcony. Penthouse suite was bi-level with large dining room and great views of lake and city skyline. All rooms offered modern fixtures and furniture and were quite cozy and comfortable. Staff at the hotel was attentive to every request, extremely professional and delivered service with pleasant friendliness. Lattes were the best in Europe ... breakfasts were over the top delicious.
Beautiful elegance of bygone era! Yet, out of step with today demands. A perfect 10 for the price, plenty of room for improvement! Excellent location, great staff, good bar, acceptable restaurant….. I would return with knowledge of short falls
Exquisite hotel - quiet, luxurious, oozing quality everywhere you look. Excellent staff and customer service. And the artwork - it’s everywhere! Definitely one of the best hotels l’ve stayed in for sure. The hotel’s restaurant, Le Chat Botteé, is worth visiting. We had the 4 course ‘Discovery’ tasting menu. The chef’s appetisers and amuse-bouches were particularly lovely - the other courses were fairly classic dishes cooked beautifully but albeit a little unimaginatively.
