It is just unbelievable what Covid did to this Hotel. They consider the need to compensate all their Covid losses on each single guest which gets abused with bad service. They just charge your credit card without verification from you, if the charges are right! They even don't explain you anything regarding charges. I had 2 sleepless nights as the whole floor was full with families with xx kids running up and down the hallway day and night and slamming doors. The staff doesn't really care about anything except charging up the bills without verification. The hotel lost all its class it had under the pressure money first, guest service last!

The sofa is dirty and we discovered a tampon under the sofa pillow. Bad hygiene, not working air conditioning for 6 days, we kept calling the front disk to get the air conditioning problem fixed and someone told me that they can not make it lower than 21 C, while the real room temperature was 27.

I stayed at the MO Geneva as the world is reopening post Covid and everything was perfect. Fantastic ,spacious and well appointed Room with a great view on the river. The housekeeping was 6 out of 5 stars and the entire hotel staff could not not be kinder and more helpful. Great room service breakfast ,great location ,comfortable band luxurious beddings and great value for Geneva and for the Mandarin Oriental experience . While other hotels are seemingly struggling trying to keep up with pre-Covid standards , this hotel did not miss a beat which was most welcome and appreciated. I have stayed in many other hotels in Geneve, but after this stay,I will not stay anywhere else. Thank you to the management and entire staff of the Mandarin Oriental Genev for putting a great finish on our first post Covid trip through Europe Highly recommend!

This is a worn down hotel and very far from what a Mandarin Oriental should be; it look and feel, it is far closer to a three-star Holiday Inn. We checked out after one night of our three night stay. I am surprised why Mandarin Oriental would ruin their brand by franchising properties like this -- I had booked this without hesitation after staying in MO's in New York and London but Geneva really is way off the mark. The good: the service was friendly, courteous and efficient, as was in-room breakfast; I have no complaints about staff who were helpful, attentive and friendly. The bad: the complaint isn't about service, its about the condition of the hotel. The rooms were dusty, musty, worn, chips on doors, closets and cheap furniture -- as I said, a three-star Holiday Inn or I would imagine a motel. To give you a very small sense of the design flaw: the ONLY way to switch off lights above the bedroom (no plug, no switch) is to switch off the room's master switch. This also turn's off all the plugs in the room -- including the plugs on the desk, where laptops get charged. Your only source of electricity is a bizarre 1980s/1990s style wooden box, with lights emitting all over the place (its a problem if you sleep in the dark), into which you can plug your phone, laptop, ipad, etc. right next to your head. Its just such a bizarre contraption, next to all the clutter in the room, thankfully I realized this before I went to bed and had all my electronic batteries drained. But this is the beginning: don't get me started on the shabby carpet between the bedroom and the hotel door, the minibar above the "shoe closet" (grim, grim, grim), the chipped painting, worn out furniture, dated designs, low budget finishes, expiration labels on water bottles left for you with turndown service -- it just surprises me that Mandarin oriental would possibly allow so poor a property to carry their branding. There has surely got to be a minimum cut-off... There's nothing wrong with the staff; they are super friendly and lovely (other than putting us in an adjoining room, all crowded up, when the hotel has 50% occupancy -- really?!). The issue is the hotel room and quality -- this is certainly not 5 star quality, and most certainly not what a Mandarin Oriental should be. Way to destroy your brand....

Every member of staff from check in to check out were friendly and could not help enough. I was only there for a couple of days on business but cannot recommend enough. Good value also IMO for the product on offer.
