Visited Bern to play in a sports event. Hotel is clean and comfortable; very nice breakfast. Staff is very friendly and are always looking for ways to help, offer advice, and generally make the stay more pleasant. We really liked that they presented us with a card that allowed free use of public transport... took away any fear of hopping on buses or trams. Very nice!
Due to the COVID situation we had a lot of change of plans, but the hotel owners were kind and accommodating to our requests. There is limited parking available at the hotel but the owners helped us with a parking spot. The fact that you get a Bern card for the duration of the stay is also very convenient. The rooms were large clean and well maintained. The breakfast was also very nice with freshly baked breads, croissants, cheese, juices and so on. Overall we were very satisfied with our stay at Jardin.
A pleasant, family-owned and operated hotel in a quiet area in upper Bern. It's a 20-minute downhill walk to Old Town; I took the tram on the way back :) The staff is friendly and helpful and gave good suggestions for places to visit and nearby restaurants. There is a free breakfast which was tasty and the coffee was very good. The room I stayed in was exceptionally clean and the bed comfortable. There are several free parking spots available and I was lucky enough to get one but, in my humble opinion, a car is not necessary in Bern. All in all, a good value for the price.
Strategic location - 20 min walk to the heart of Bern. The Hotel offers free parking on premises - pretty unique for the city! Our reservation included an amazing free breakfast - all you might need. Room was spotless clean an beds were comfy. And last but not the least - extremely attentive and caring owners/hosts Adrian and Fabian who speak fluent English and readily shared about anything in Bern. Upon arrival they provided us with free 24 hour tram passes and maps - the tram stop is almost in the backyard - just 4 stops to the Old Town. Will definitely come back!
Checked in on a Thursday with Andreas who was very helpful and provided information on local restaurants and popular activities. My room had all the modern conveniences and a larger bed than at other hotels. Housekeeping did a good job. You can walk from the hotel to Old Town Bern and the Bear Park.
