enviable location, 5 minutes by car (free covered and uncovered parking) from the center of Perugia and with the bus stop for the center in front of the hotel.
Fantastic, mouth-watering breakfast but very dangerous for the figure, absolutely corresponding to what was promised by the advertising on the site: "The island of gluttons" is fantastic.
The restaurant also presents a nice variety of dishes cooked very well with a very good quality/price ratio.
To return in the future and absolutely to recommend to other travellers

I book the shift, send an email to know if the Breakfast Reservation "under the Headphones" resulted and it is immediately confirmed.
I arrive at the hotel the same morning, a few minutes early to be safe after a 3-hour train ride and I hear that the station under the headphones has been given to another couple to "do a kindness" despite having reserved the headphones a month ago.
Despite our breakfast shift being from 8:30 to 9:00 they left the station at 8:55, making us change tables mid-breakfast.
Unprofessional.
Arriving with high expectations, we left with just as many doubts.
The structure itself is an average hotel, with a note of merit for the staff.
The standard room is not worth its price: basic in furnishings and supplies, completely without soundproofing (compared to the street, the common corridor and the bathroom of the adjacent room....), with a noisy and poorly functioning air conditioning system (we had to get up in the middle of the night to turn it off because, despite the set 16 degrees, we found ourselves gasping in a room at at least 30!) and little attention to detail (see the large brown stain on the fabric edge of the bed ).
As for breakfast, equipped with every good thing from a sweet point of view, it is a little sparse in the choice of savory options. Unfortunately, the number of staff is too limited to keep up with the large amount of work required by the presence of such a large number of guests: it follows that you have to ask several times for hot drinks to have them at the table, which the lady at the stand cannot do, poor thing. to take care of continuously churning out crepes, waffles, pancakes and various preparations for everyone. Perhaps, given the business that revolves around the structure, increasing the staff would benefit the functionality and credibility of the hotel. The buffet products are average, with highs and lows.
After all considerations, it is certainly not worth the €150 spent (more suitable cost for more structured and significantly higher level hotels). So reluctantly I have to say that under these conditions I wouldn't go back.

The Chocohotel experience was one of the most beautiful culinary experiences ever.
I found by chance on social networks this magical place for those who love chocolate and I literally fell in love with their breakfast buffet that is prepared daily with all the delicacies imaginable.
So I decided to take a plane from Catania just and exclusively to try this experience and I must say it was great.
The thing that immediately catches the eye is the professionalism and kindness of the staff already at the entrance of the hotel that welcomes you with a smile already at 7 am; going up to the upper floor where the buffet is set up, you are enveloped by a crazy smell of chocolate.
Entering the room, called "island of gluttons" I was greeted by a room operator with a smile and absolute kindness, believe me that just looking at it was like seeing the sun, not to mention its professionalism.
The environment inside is really cared for in every detail, it is evident that behind there is an accuracy and an absolute painstaking work, from the position of each tray with sweets, to the colors and the truly exceptional thing is the variety of what you can find. from all types of chocolate and creams, to different types of fruit juices, types of sweets, croissants croissants and above all everything fresh and freshly baked.
The staff continuously stocked the buffet table with fresh produce and served freshly made crepes and waffles.
I do not think that elsewhere you can find such a great quality and quantity of assortment and variety of breakfast products, both savory and sweet; 8 meters.
I found the person in charge of the island of gluttons truly unique and special, you perceive that she loves her work and does it with a total commitment and transmitting everything in what she does and to customers.
I had the chance to meet the manager of the facility and also the manager, they were also very nice and kind, amazed by the fact that I came from Catania especially for them.
Highly recommended for anyone who wants to live a unique experience.
Definitely as soon as possible, I will come back to see them.

The room has a headboard and wardrobe in the shape of a chocolate bar. The mirror has a chocolate pour.
But the unforgettable experience is breakfast. The island of gluttons is a riot of sweets of all kinds, chocolate fountains, jars of chocolate of every brand with which to fill croissants and whatever you want.
All seasoned with the kindness of the staff and a themed location.
Proportionate prices.
Highly recommended
