I stayed at this hotel in early July, on the occasion of my birthday. Already on arrival, you are catapulted into a fairytale world, which leads to feeling like Hansel and Gretel. The chocolate-themed rooms are neat and spotless, the rooftop pool, having a very shallow depth, is perfect for those with children, the store is well stocked (prices maybe a little high, but there is) and the reception staff is professional, friendly and ready to give advice and information. The center is within walking distance or, even better, using public transport, while the station is quite close. Even the restaurant is run by very kind people (for a mishap, we returned to the hotel after closing time and anyway they prepared dinner, serving it directly in the room... top service!). Dream breakfast: despite having stayed for three nights, it was impossible to taste everything that caught my attention. One cannot describe the pleasure for the eye (everything is presented with care, taste and elegance and nothing is left to chance) and for the palate. Friendly waiting staff and ready to meet multiple requests. Provare per credere!

Other than the out of the way location that neccesetated a bus ride from either station, this hotel was really nice. The desk staff were friendly and helpful and put up with my attempts to use my self taught Italian. The whole hotel runs to a chocolate theme, meaning the wall decor, textiles whatever else you can think of is either brown, cow patterned or candy studded. The main point however is the breakfast buffet which is an over-the-top chocolate indulgance of Wonka-esque proportions. Not just a chocolate fountain but three fountains for dark-, milk- and white chocolate preferences. It was hubby's birthday on the final morning and the kitchen staff made a wonderful platter with a donut pyramid and fire-work. If you are on a weightloss diet you might want to steer clear but the 900m walk to the rail station might help you work off one of the morning macrons. Bring home a Pinocchio doll as souvenir, there are many of all sizes to be found. The room was spacious and they have bathtubs to relax in after a day of climbing Umbrian hills. I recommend and am dreaming of dunking waffles in warm chocolate....

Definitely excellent opinion for this hotel which has characteristics even superior to its category. Perfect welcome with staff always kind and helpful;
enviable location, 5 minutes by car (free covered and uncovered parking) from the center of Perugia and with the bus stop for the center in front of the hotel.
Fantastic, mouth-watering breakfast but very dangerous for the figure, absolutely corresponding to what was promised by the advertising on the site: "The island of gluttons" is fantastic.
The restaurant also presents a nice variety of dishes cooked very well with a very good quality/price ratio.
To return in the future and absolutely to recommend to other travellers

The hotel is in a good location, you can reach the center with about twenty minutes walk. It is very quaint and the rooms nicely decorated chocolate themed. We chose this hotel because attracted by the breakfast.... the choice is undoubtedly varied and the quality of the products good, but this is contrasted by a frenzy in the service room that makes the moment a ride without equal! You cannot get up a moment that you find your table cleared and occupied by other guests! And then you realize talking to them that they had had the same fate as us just before, I understand the need to clean and clear the tables but as for me breakfast went sideways! I requested the cappuccino 3 times because every time taken away to clear, we like to have breakfast calmly, be able to savor each product, we do not like to fill the plates and eat everything together, I think it is the guest's right to get up and choose neatly what he wants to eat. A tip: reserve tables and ask guests to tell you when they leave the breakfast room at least they will enjoy your delicacies in peace and quiet

I received a gift certificate for a "breakfast under the headphones" for which you also pay an extra.
I book the shift, send an email to know if the Breakfast Reservation "under the Headphones" resulted and it is immediately confirmed.
I arrive at the hotel the same morning, a few minutes early to be safe after a 3-hour train ride and I hear that the station under the headphones has been given to another couple to "do a kindness" despite having reserved the headphones a month ago.
Despite our breakfast shift being from 8:30 to 9:00 they left the station at 8:55, making us change tables mid-breakfast.
Unprofessional.

I would like to point out that such a critical review is the result of a reflection on the quality/price ratio offered by this structure.
Arriving with high expectations, we left with just as many doubts.
The structure itself is an average hotel, with a note of merit for the staff.
The standard room is not worth its price: basic in furnishings and supplies, completely without soundproofing (compared to the street, the common corridor and the bathroom of the adjacent room....), with a noisy and poorly functioning air conditioning system (we had to get up in the middle of the night to turn it off because, despite the set 16 degrees, we found ourselves gasping in a room at at least 30!) and little attention to detail (see the large brown stain on the fabric edge of the bed ).
As for breakfast, equipped with every good thing from a sweet point of view, it is a little sparse in the choice of savory options. Unfortunately, the number of staff is too limited to keep up with the large amount of work required by the presence of such a large number of guests: it follows that you have to ask several times for hot drinks to have them at the table, which the lady at the stand cannot do, poor thing. to take care of continuously churning out crepes, waffles, pancakes and various preparations for everyone. Perhaps, given the business that revolves around the structure, increasing the staff would benefit the functionality and credibility of the hotel. The buffet products are average, with highs and lows.
After all considerations, it is certainly not worth the €150 spent (more suitable cost for more structured and significantly higher level hotels). So reluctantly I have to say that under these conditions I wouldn't go back.

Highly advertised location. I'm honest, I won't go back. I called before booking asking to be able to check in earlier at 1pm instead of 2pm because I had my own needs and they assured me that there were no problems. They asked me to also send an email with this specific request and I did what was requested, but I arrive at the reception with my minutes numbered and they reply that for check in at 1pm they will try to see if they can accommodate me. Total disappointment. I report the phone call and the email with a specific request and they check, on their response email they wrote We will try to accommodate you. Alright! I didn't carefully check the word for word response email, but the telephone agreements had been precise. Experience teaches. I will be more careful in the future, but I won't go back here again. For the rest it's just a decoy. They give you a poor quality chocolate bar at the entrance and the breakfast is a little more varied than in some other hotels. Nothing special.

The room is nothing exceptional being a three star. Upon our arrival, the lady who took care of the check-in, did not provide us with the psw of wi-fi, did not inform us to leave the car stationary at the parking lot, given the event of the evening. Let’s say that she has proved a little unwilling. More friendly and courteous others. At our entrance, in the room, so much dust, in the bathroom the door was chipped in several places, the toilet did not have the seal of sanitization. Next to the toilets there was hair. Maybe replace the tub with a nice shower tray, much more functional. The rooms are not sufficiently soundproofed. Privacy must be guaranteed. For what you pay we expected a more modern decor. Nice idea of the themed furniture but, old. A refreshment in the furniture is there. Lots of plastic. In 2025 it is no longer acceptable. Parking is not guarded and I am fine with it but, if the restaurant, which has an external management, organizes events, the hotel guests, who pay, parking must be guaranteed. Otherwise please inform us that parking is not available. I don't like being told that the solution is to leave the car at the gas station in front, given what you pay. Good breakfast but, nothing great, in the end it is a great buffet. We were engulfed by the many reels we saw on Instagram expectations were high but we were not particularly satisfied. Applaud the girls of the room service should be made, all cute and helpful. Seen from the outside you can't tell it's a chocolate-themed hotel. It's pretty anonymous...! In the area there is nothing, because it is located in the lower part of the city. But there is a bus stop in front of the hotel, tickets can be purchased at reception. At about 1km walk there is the mini Metro, but it closes, the races, by 20/20:30. So to reach the historic center. Try it for breakfast, especially for families with children but it is not great.

JUST AMAZING

The Chocohotel experience was one of the most beautiful culinary experiences ever.

I found by chance on social networks this magical place for those who love chocolate and I literally fell in love with their breakfast buffet that is prepared daily with all the delicacies imaginable.

So I decided to take a plane from Catania just and exclusively to try this experience and I must say it was great.

The thing that immediately catches the eye is the professionalism and kindness of the staff already at the entrance of the hotel that welcomes you with a smile already at 7 am; going up to the upper floor where the buffet is set up, you are enveloped by a crazy smell of chocolate.

Entering the room, called "island of gluttons" I was greeted by a room operator with a smile and absolute kindness, believe me that just looking at it was like seeing the sun, not to mention its professionalism.

The environment inside is really cared for in every detail, it is evident that behind there is an accuracy and an absolute painstaking work, from the position of each tray with sweets, to the colors and the truly exceptional thing is the variety of what you can find. from all types of chocolate and creams, to different types of fruit juices, types of sweets, croissants croissants and above all everything fresh and freshly baked.

The staff continuously stocked the buffet table with fresh produce and served freshly made crepes and waffles.

I do not think that elsewhere you can find such a great quality and quantity of assortment and variety of breakfast products, both savory and sweet; 8 meters.

I found the person in charge of the island of gluttons truly unique and special, you perceive that she loves her work and does it with a total commitment and transmitting everything in what she does and to customers.

I had the chance to meet the manager of the facility and also the manager, they were also very nice and kind, amazed by the fact that I came from Catania especially for them.

Highly recommended for anyone who wants to live a unique experience.

Definitely as soon as possible, I will come back to see them.

The hotel is chocolate themed.
The room has a headboard and wardrobe in the shape of a chocolate bar. The mirror has a chocolate pour.
But the unforgettable experience is breakfast. The island of gluttons is a riot of sweets of all kinds, chocolate fountains, jars of chocolate of every brand with which to fill croissants and whatever you want.
All seasoned with the kindness of the staff and a themed location.
Proportionate prices.
Highly recommended

Good morning Ruchita, We are so glad that you will experience Chocohotel with your kids! We have different kinds of rooms: Standard rooms, dedicated to chocolate, where the head of the bead is shaped as a chocolate bar, lamps seem liquid chocolate, chocolate cups are set in exhibition inside a desk with a glass cover. Choco Sweet Suite is the sweetest room of all: it's set up with as much chocolate as you imagine, forming a choco-carpet (with real chocolate bars) a choco-painting (with different chocolate items), choco bath products (chocolate scented). You can eat chocolate during your stay or even take it home! The Choco Fan Room is the first “social” room in the world! The most chocoholic guests have decided to “play” with us and, after winning a contest, they became part of a unique room, dedicated to all the chocoholics out there and their passion for chocolate, pictured as they eat and portray their favorite chocolate: no one as ever had before a customized room! In the room you will find many original furniture pieces, such as a flocks of “social” birds and a chocolate frame, whereyou can take a choco-selfie and share it with your friends on your social networks. Then we have the Choc Your Room: you can finally dedicate a room to your loved ones! No one ever before has stayed in a customized room! This can happen, from now on, in the first hotel in the world dedicated to chocolate. You can send us your favorite picture, an image, a poem, a love statement, or whatever you like: we will create a “painting” in forex that will embellish the Choc Your Room, for an unusual proposal, gift or surprise. For prices of the different rooms, just contact the reception: we are at your disposal and can't wait to meet you all!
