Very nice rooms and fantastic view. We had a room on the street side and it was great. Bathrooms are very small but very workable. We had the 3 meal plan a day and it worked out great. Loved the wine served at the meals with staff being very courteous. We also had wifi available in our room and understand... More

Casa Papa Giovanni is simple and conveniently located, with unmatched hospitality. Most afternoons and evenings, we received delicious home-cooked meals, complete with plenty of wine! The rooms are sparsely furnished but clean and comfortable. The common areas are simply decorated with beautiful architecture. WiFi was pretty good also in my room, which was a bonus! Overall, it is charming and... More

I recently stayed here during a weeklong pilgrimage. The location is great, just off the main piazza. The hotel is in the center of town which makes it convenient to walk almost anywhere. Staff was helpful. Wireless was spotty and confined to the lobby or first floor. My room was on the 4th floor with amazing views. The are two... More

Everyone is so charming and helpful here! It is affordable and clean and beautiful, and it sits right between St Francis' Basilica and St Clare's... Perfect location. Breakfast is included, only it's between 8 and 9 in the am only so if ur early-bird or late riser you will have to alter your clock. You get your own room key... More

Very different from the usual modern hotels I am used to, this hotel is simple and Spartan. Assisi if a city full of religious history and spirit and staying at Casa Papa Giovanni is the perfect place to be part of the community. It is a clean and centrally located hotel with pleasant staff. Not a lot of modern conveniences... More

I stayed here for one week on a Franciscan pilgrimage. It was a wonderful stay, the staff are welcoming and warm. The accommodations are simple but I wanted for nothing. Meals were excellent! There was a wonderful rooftop garden where we enjoyed a picnic lunch and wine in the evening. The location is perfect.

This guest house, run by the Franciscans, is a wonderful, simple place for a quiet, simple room and simple family-style, Italian fare. It is off the square on one of the main streets of Assisi- and the entire town can be accessed on foot from this location. There is a chapel, a Franciscan bookstore on the premises. An added bonus-... More

Thanks God for giving me 2 different experiences in Assisi. As St Anthony Guesthouse is only available for 2 nights, we searched and found this similar excellent guesthouse for another 2 nights. They both run by sisters. Although Sister Rita speak little English, she is very kind and offer us a big room with valley view, that is as breathtaking... More

Basic but good value for money. Outside courtyard to sit in private. Run around buses close by.Small chapel just inside front door. Bookshop adjoining. Easy walking distance to all Franciscan sites. Lots of eateries on the Piazza de Commune.

When I was here about 2 weeks ago on a pilgrimage. I enjoyed staying here cause it was really close to the down town and the people who run the hotel are very nice and they are friendly too. The location is very good but since Assisi is on a hill it puts it right in the middle of the... More
