Located close to the Roman gate in Siena this hotel is clean and tidy, but admittedly a little dated. We found it great for one night but not for an extended stay. Situated as it is on the main road there is some road noise if the window is open, but with the windows closed the soundproofing is pretty good.... More

We spent 3 days here in August, when the weather was hot and Siena busy. The views were spectacular from the hotel entrance and from our bedroom. However, the hotel was very basic. We had no fridge in our room (a previous poster did I know). The A/C was barely adequate, the TV did not have an English speaking news... More

Dear Robert, thanks for your review, but there is some info which doesnt add up. When our staff clean and/or set-up the rooms in the morning, the shutters are opened in order to get some fresh air into all rooms and to provide a better cleaning service, which is always done when our guests are not in their room, as... This was an older style hotel managed by Vincent who was a great help to us with tourist directions to the city centre, buses and with visiting other nearby towns. Vincent also helped get our luggage to the top floor as there was no lift. The breakfast in the new alfresco area was lovely in the early mornings with a... More

We stayed only 1 night. There is ample parking, lovely view of the countryside and a nice terrace for breakfast. Although I slept well, I didn't like the room. Especially the shower which was on the other side of the bedroom to the sink and toilet. It is rediculously small. The shower screen was broken (due to there being no... More

This is a quaint hotel and really lovely. Vincent and all of the staff are so nice. Vincent gave us great tips on restaurants and places to visit. The view is AMAZING! They do their very best to make sure you are comfortable. Breakfast is wonderful with great coffee and fresh fruit. The lady who runs it has a great... More

I was skeptical at first--it is right on a really busy street. But you duck behind the wall and drop down a bit in to the valley and you find this lovely hotel. It was very quiet. You have lovely views of the valley. And it is really only 15-20 minutes walk to the main piazza. Our host was fantastic.... More

Pro's: our room was clean and everything was in good condition, good location - just outside the city wall within easy walking distance to main attractions, beautiful views, good breakfast, front desk staff was very helpful and offered recommendations on restaurants, called for a cab. Also thought the priced was reasonable. Con's: it rained one night and there was a... More

We were delighted to find a magnificent view from our bedroom, bathroom and lounge. The rooms are large and clean and breakfast even includes freshly cut fruit. You can wander in the large garden, picnic on the terrace and there is a great little restaurant nearby. Although a fridge is included, there is no tea making facilities or a champagne... More

This nice and warm hotel is just 5 minutes from Porta Romana and 15 min walk through the medieval streets to Piazza del Campo. My room was "D", it was on the ground floor and it was huge. Spotlessly clean, quiet with a super comfortable bed. Breakfast is basic but it was ok (ham, cheese) boiled eggs, cake, tomatoes, coffee, tea.... More

Pros: The hotel has all the indicators of a family-run business. Everything is clean and extremely well kept. There is a nice garden, an awesome patio with a wonderful view, great breakfast, the largest shower we have found in Italy, soft large towels, hot water, large room and quiet setting. The English speaking staff was absolutely the best. They even... More
