I just stayed at Castello delle Quattro Torra for 2 nights and my stay was superb. Heather was fantastic in organizing my accommodation booking and answering any questions about the area. She was prompt and wrote in perfect English. On arrival, Nicola greeted me and helped bring my bags up a zillion flights of stairs to the tower room, at... More

Thank you so much for your great review. Happy to hear that you really enjoyed your stay with us but did you realize that with your stay here you actually contributed to preserving this historical structure? So thank you for that too. .. .. a hug from Nonna Ciana at the cooking class and best wishes from all of us! More

An Italian friend of ours recommended this place. Built in the 13th century as a fortress in the wars between Siena and Firenze, the castello will probably astound you upon your arrival. Nicola, whose family owns the hotel, met us at the large front door, which opens onto a small courtyard surrounded by stone walls. Your luggage is hoisted up... More

Thank you for your lovely and detailed review...I am sure many trip advisor users will also appreciate all the information and comments...it is true that despite the impressive dimensions of the castle we really are a small family-run BnB and we thank you for appreciating that fact and for appreciating our ancient and slightly quirky home.... in fact the castle... My family and I stayed at the above castle hotel which is operated by the same family which owned it since 1850! They only have three rooms to let as the rest of the rooms are occupied by the family The location is superb for visiting Siena being 10 minutes away by car It offers superb views of the Tuscan... The Castle itself was so beautiful. The staff, especially, Valeria, was the nicest person we met on our entire Italy trip. She made sure we felt at home. The wine they make was excellent and the farm restaurant the family also owns down the road was delicious as well. The only down side is that there isn't much to do... More

Thanks for the review. We are very glad you enjoyed your stay and liked the wine and restaurant too. I think your description as perfect for relaxing is very apt..the peaceful and somehow historical atmosphere yet just 2 km from the city is just what we love to offer our guests. You will also be pleased to hear that since... More

Let me start with the great part of this place. It is beautiful in a very rustic Italian way. My mother stated it was just what she would have expected an old Italian fortress to look like inside: beautiful windows with heavy wood shutters and large stone walls. The views are amazing. I mean amazing! I am posting pictures. The... More

Thanks for the review, we are glad you enjoyed the atmosphere and surroundings here in our 13th century castle. I do agree with you that our tower room, although fantastic and very popular, is not for everyone. We have other much more accessible accommodation on the first floor..just one short ramp of stairs..and we do warn people about the many... More

My only regret is that we didn't stay here longer. This place leaves you wanting for more. The experience of being handled the Castello keys and climbing the stairs into your castle room is unparalleled, it's why we travel. The breakfast was outstanding, in our little private dining room, the common areas were beautiful and authentic, the room was beautiful... More

We stayed two nights in the Blue Room and two nights at the Farm. Both experiences were wonderful and allowed us to appreciate the countryside and be close to Siena. The service is first rate at both locations. We dined at Le Pietre Vive twice and enjoyed sublime cuisine and wonderful service.Thank you Valeria, Nicola and Mauro for the happy... More

My mother and I had an excellent stay at the Castello del Quattro Torra. It was amazing. We loved it and hope to return one day. It is just a short taxi ride (12 euro) from the center of Siena and it was full of character. We couldn't believe how wonderful it was - a true Tuscan retreat. This is... More

Just spent five nights in the Apartment and the Tower rooms. Valeria is amazing. Everything you read about the castle, views, and hospitality is all spot on. You're really in a castle! Can't wait to go back!

This place is amazing. We just left and stayed in one of the turrets. The only thing is it's has steep metal winding staircases to get into your room and loft. For anyone that can walk them I would highly recommend staying there. If not there is a regular area but the views aren't like ours were 360 degrees. Amazing.... More
