Quite large room with a large (shared) roof terrace. Beautiful surroundings! Also a nice shared kitchen. It is close to Sienna (by car), but there is not much to do in the surrounding neigbourhood. Hostess is very kind. A nice place to stay for a couple of nights.

We consciously decided not to stay in the center of Siena as we have hired a car and wanted to stay somewhere quiet. The landscape of this place is beautiful and we rented one of the large ensuite bedrooms on top of the main house where our hosts live. We shared the living area and the kitchen with another 2... We were looking for a place to spend the night since we were invited to a friend's place for a party. We didn't have any expectations and the price seemed reasonable. When we got there the host was very friendly and offered us some dessert wine from their own production as a welcome drink first. She asked us if we'd... More

We were sitting in the piazza in Siena when we decided to stay in the area overnight. A quick scan on Tripadvisor came up with Agriturismo Malafrasca. We made a call to the non-english speaking owner, and eventually established that they could accommodate us. His english speaking daughter arrived just as we did, so communication was established!! We were delighted... More

Of all the places we stayed in our 10 day Tosacana trip, this was our least favorite. We have made the reservations 5 months in advance , for 3 rooms which would accommodate 3 families, however when we arrived they presented us with 2 rooms within the main building and 1 room in an outbuilding on the garden. This room... More

Closely answering to the review, of all the guests we have had in the last years, these were the least favourites. They booked for just one night some rooms (bedrooms and NOT apartments, so the kitchen was definitely not planned in the reservation); when they arrived for check-in they were unusually loaded with bags full of food as if they... Magnificent location. Trees greenery birds weather cozy. Old Italian hosts. Clean and nice. The hosts are welcoming when we came at night. In the morning we didn't even give us a cup of coffee and they closed the door on us after we paid. But in total its a life time experience.

We thank these guests for the good review. Regarding the bad note of the morning, we would like to clarify that for a just one night stay they arrived more than two and a half hours after the check in time and they left the bedroom in the morning more than 2 hours after the check out time, making us... Agriturismo Malafrasca is truely a gem of a place located just outside the hustle bustle of Siena. We travelled all the way from India to stay there and realised we definitely needed a car to travel to and fro from the place. But Elena and her family were the most sweetest hosts to book a cab for us everytime we... More

Thank you Eleanora & famiglia for making this last night of vacation so memorable. What a gem just outside the main part of Siena. The grounds were beautiful & our room was clean, comfortable & spacious. Our sunset picnic of local treats on the private balcony could not have been better scripted. We loved the hospitality of this family run... More

very warm welcome, the apartment is quiet and simple, but big and well equipped, including a big terrace under trees, we liked to sit outside. 10 minutes drive to Siena. Breakfast is neither offered nor included.

We stayed 2 nights at the Farmhouse Malafrasca, on the Via Chiantigiana just outside Siena. Very convenient location, if you have a car, as it only takes about 10 minutes to get to the city walls where you can park and take a series of escalators up. It is nice staying outside the city in the beautiful Chianti countryside -... More
