Everything was perfect! Woman at reception was incredibly nice and helpful. Appartment had everything we needed to have a good night sleep and cook meals in the kitchenette. The view of San Gimignano from our window was also amazing! We really loved our stay at the Fattoria Abbazia Monte Oliveto and would reccommend anyone to stay there! Otherwise, for us... More

Wonderful experience at Monte Oliveto. From the warm welcome to the picture postcard view which we woke up to every morning. The warm hospitability and the fantastic night we had with the other people staying there. A tour of the vineyard wine tasting and wonderful Tuscan food. A beautiful stay and walking distance to San Gimignano town.

A small "Fattoria" (vineyard farm) about 1km from the gates of San Gimignano, this is a fabulous place to stay for couples, small groups and families. It features self-contained apartments with parking for travellers with a car, and a bus stop for those without. However, it's only a 10-15 minutes walk to the main gate of San Gimignano, so you... First time in Tuscany and this as the prefect location. Set on a vineyard and olive farm. Close to San Gimignano - a hot walk during the day but the walk is worth it. One of the best and scenic places with have stayed. Apartment is large and plenty of space to lounge around. Beautiful pool and grounds. Only minus... More

We stayed in the apartment Massino which is on the second floor of the building. the apartment has two bedrooms one double one single. The apartment is very clean and comfortable but quite basic. There is air conditioning in the living room but not the bedrooms. There is a tv which I only turned on once, but seemed to be... More

We were recommended to stay here by a friend who raved about it and we were not disappointed. Mariana, the hostess of this beautiful little residence was absolutely lovely and did all she could to make our 4 night stay here as comfortable as possible including staying back a little later to welcome us after hours and taking our washing... This farmhouse is very good. Nice apartment; a perfect location for a visit of San Gimignano (a walk for 10 minutes); beautiful views on the city and the environment (vineyards and hills). And the host Marianna was very helpful and give us good addresses for diner and coffee. A place to remember!

Located about 600m away from the San Gimignano city walls, this was an oasis of quiet presided over by one of the most helpful hostesses we've encountered on our travels. We arrived after hours, and there were clear directions on how to get in. The apartment was spacious and comfortable - even if the kitchen and furniture was a little... More

Our first visit to San Gimignano and it was better than what we expected. The staff here are very friendly, spoke excellent English & was very informative on things to do in the area. The ground itself is well maintained, clean and very beautiful overlooking the vineyard & olive grove. There are many magic spots in the garden where you... More

We stayed in the Massimo apartment on the second floor with stunning views of the Tuscan countryside from the bedrooms and San Gimignano from the living area. The apartment was comfortably furnished with two bedrooms. The second bedroom was advertised as having one single bed but Marianna was happy to put another single bed in there for my youngest daughter... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
About 1km from the medieval town of San Gimignano, surrounded by centuries-old olive trees and vineyards cultivated with Vernaccia, lays the Agritourism of the Abbey of Monte Oliveto, built in 1340 by the Olivetan monks. Abbazia Monte Oliveto's farm, today property of the the Zonin family, offers 7 comfortable apartments, harmoniously furnished in typical Tuscan country style, dominated by the legendary towers of San Gimignano and immersed in the surrounding greenery of the countryside. Each apartment has every possible comfort, including heating, satellite television and telephone. The apartments are all different so there is something to suit everyone, and some rooms have bathrooms which are specially equipped for the disabled. Our guests have access to a large car park, the garden, the swimming pool and our store selling typical farm produce such as top-quality wine and olive oil. ... more   less
