La Roccaia is a farmhouse B&B located outside the historic town of San Gimignano in Siena, Tuscany. The setting is the ancient tuscan countryside, where this vineyard and inn stand out amongst the golden hills that surround it, providing our guests with a peaceful stay in welcoming bright rooms and flats. Enjoy wine-tasting and our farm's produce in our traditional Tuscan cuisine. Dine 'al fresco' in our garden where dinner is served in Summer months.

If you don't like the touristic crowd of San Gimignano or Siena, this agriturismo is the perfect place to relax in the middle of the Tuscany countryside. Nice room with balcony, on the pool side or the huge well maintained garden, you have all the amenities you need, hairdryer, flat screen, A/C, coffee machine...Huge spotless swimming pool makes your stay even more enjoyable . Nice breakfast under the outside pergola. In an high season, for an average of 85€ per night, 15 minutes from San Gimignano or 40 minutes from Siena, you can't ask for more. Friendly staff and very nice landlord.....highly recommend without hesitation. Thanks for everything. Vincent& Margot

This is a wonderful place to stay. Laid back, and good value. Perfectly located of you have a car. Staff and family were friendly and helpful. The owner gave me advice by email on the many things there were to do in the area, his passion and love for his home was obvious as was his desire to share it with you. He suggested I go truffle hunting one morning ad it was an incredible experience with the Tuscany Truffle Hunter and his amazing dogs - worth getting up early for. It was self-catering and the kitchen was small and had quite basic equipment but it was enough to rustle up dinner. The land and the surrounding area was utterly stunning and picture postcard Tuscany.

What's not to like? Everything was perfect! La Roccaia is a beautiful agriturismo, on a great, quiet location with the magnificent view to San Gimignano. The pool and the garden are perfect to enjoy hot summer days. Breakfast is served, every day something else, bruschettas were just amazing! It's very clean and well maintained with very helpful and kind owners! Our dog loved it here and we will return for sure :)

Started by Antonio the grandfather and run by grazia his daughter, This place is wonderful and we will try to return! Grazia is a brilliant host and it was fun trying to communicate in Italian though we don't speak any. Whilst there, I emailed about a good beach to visit and whether they routinely do wine tours as the grandfather has built the wonderful wine business from nothing! Consuelo replied - they do not do tours but as summer holidays, Despite having another job she agreed to give us a tour- wow it was wonderful and she put in a lot of effort. In the evening grazia made us dinner and it was best food we had! We even made friends with their dog. This place is a must visit. The most beautiful views, wonderful family, lovely rooms and food :) Thank you grazia and Consuelo for helping to make our honeymoon so special x

This place is a total jem! We loved everything about it, Grazia was the perfect host, the view is spectacular, the food prepared by Grazia was amazing, her tips of how to get around were very helpful. I would recommend this place to anyone. I told Grazia that we would definitely be back. Her wine was excellent! Grazie per tutto Grazia, alla prossima!

When you read about idyllic little agriturismos in Tuscany, this is the place! That photo on this site is of our room, and what it doesn't show is that there is a balcony with a magnificent view of the Tuscan landscape and San Gimignano. There is also pool from which one gets the same view. We were not able to get dinner at the agriturismo. I don't know if that is because they don't provide them or because we booked the same day, but be aware that restaurants are pretty far away and necessitate driving Italian country roads at night, so best take some bread and sausage.

There are many things to like about this charming family run agriturismo....beautiful grounds including a pool, comfortable accommodations, great food, and gratious hospitality. Location makes it easy to make a day trip to some of the other sites in Tuscany. La Roccaia exceeded our expectations in every way. Can't wait to return!

This wonderful agriturismo, with stunning views of the towers of San Gimignano, is the perfect place to stay when in Tuscany. The Ricci family strikes the perfect balance of attention when you need it to privacy. Everything sparkles from the pool to the floors. Ideal central location!

Great location just outside San Gimignano where you can see the towers beyond the vineyards of La Roccaia. What more do you need than a good location, good food, pool, home made wine in the shadow of those towers?
