We found and booked this hotel via an online travel agency, so at least the rate was good. So was the hotel location, but that is pretty much it. It is a 5 star hotel but I have stays in much better 4 star hotels. Our room was quite small, and there were spider webs hanging from the wood beams....

The best part about my stay here was that my room was on the 1st floor. Room wi-fi was non-existant and breakfast service was disorganized and poorly staffed. If you decide to stay here, DO NOT eat at the hotel restaurant; it was the 1st time I ever had disgusting risotto in Italy.

I don't want to annoy any other fellow reviewers with my comments but what must the standards of people giving this hovel any more than a 1* rating and that's for the location only. Other than that this should be an unrated property. Not shabby chic just a grotty hole of a place. I always book 4 star minimum as...

We only stayed for one night but this was a decent hotel although there seemed to be a shortage of staff when we were there. The breakfast was average. Close to the leaning tower which was handy. Based on our experience, we would rate this as a 3 star hotel.

First, realise that Pisa on reflection is not, or rather should not be, considered as a destination. Once you realise that you will understand that Pisa hospitality is fairly poor. Relais dell'Orologio lives up to this tradition. Frankly, breakfast isn't worth the effort. Nothing about it is outstandingly bad, but by the same tocken nothing is particularly good. You might...

We stayed at this hotel for just one night before flying back to the UK. It is a very old building with beautiful furniture and fittings, a real mix of old and new- the walls, paintings ornament and general decorations are real period pieces with a layer of eccentricity and are wonderful, modern aspects include double glazing, super bathrooms and...

We were worried prior to staying due to some awful reviews of this place. Very pleased to say our experience was totally different to the people who had a bad stay. Yes the hotel is tired in places and the rooms are cosy but it's several centuries old! It's not a modern built hotel! You're getting an authentic experience. We...

This place is adorable, quite reminded me of A Room With A View - an old world rustic type charm with glamour and grace, especially the conservatory for breakfast. Stayed here so we could visit Pisa. Great location: 5 minute walk to Leaning Tower, etc. High ceiling rooms, nice exposed walls in parts of the room, decent air con, lovely...

The curse of this hotel is its oft-proclaimed 5-star rating. It actually deserves 3 stars, and would rate very favorably as a 3-star property, and as fully acceptable at 4-star level. At 5 stars it evokes the unforgettable Fawlty Towers television series of a few decades ago. Hotels generally are over-priced and mostly under-deliver in Pisa, a sad reality. Lucca...

Service " friendly-ish". Rooms- smelly and small . Old and in need of major cleaning /upkeep. Paid for three nights , checked out early and didn't even bother asking the rude desk clerk for any type of refund .( nor did HE ask why we were leaving early !) Tv- a 14 inch monitor screen . 😂
