I stayed here for one night in August last year and loved it. I was really surprised to see the negative reviews. Yes, the hotel is old, and some aspects of the accommodation were quite basic. BUT - this is far outweighed by the beauty of the old building and the quirky furniture in the room. The common rooms throughout... More

Royal Victoria is old, a little worn but so is Italy, so is Europe. We stayed there again this year and were once more charmed. Don't go if you're after luxury. Rooms are not spartan but neither are they de luxe. Breakfast is understated but lovely. You won't be waited on hand and foot but staff are very efficient and... More

Disgusting, dirty and smelly. Walked in, saw the room and swiftly left to find another hotel to stay in for the night even though we had paid for this one. Couldnt have faced staying a night. The corridors had debris littering the floor, the lift smelt. I appreciate that it is an old building but that doesnt mean it has... More

We stayed in 2 rooms, a 3 triple and a double room. 103 and 104. The rooms were very nice and homely. The staff at the hotel are amazing people aswel which is always a good thing when kids are around. People who have said it wasnt nice as it was old, then for gods sake it's Pisa! We as... More

We stayed here for one night only in late October and did not enjoy the experience. On the up side the staff were friendly. The public areas do have a certain charm and in an old building in an old city allowances have to be made. It is very conveniently located and has a small and expensive garage. On the... More

If your top priority is location, then this might be the hotel for you. The service was very good and friendly. Although the hotel is very old my first impression was not so bad. I found the common areas to be pretty nice. However, I was very disappointed with our room, especially considering the price. The room was not much... More

Our first night in Italy-what a treat! Elegant room with an antique crystal chandelier and a bay window view of the Arno. The hotel is gracious and the breakfast was wonderful. Don't miss the patio tucked away on the third floor. This is a gem and just a short walk to the Tower.

I stayed at the Royal Victoria for one night before flying home from Pisa airport and found the hotel to be fine for a short stay. The rooms are fairly old, but clean and very large, and our ensuite bathroom was adequate although could have done with a bit of modernisation. Wandering around the hotel is like a history lesson... Hotel was in a good location, half way between train station and Duomo. It's a pretty impressive building and all the hallways etc.. are really nice. Agree with most of the other reviews though that the rooms are really tired and old. Furniture is pretty much past it. Air conditioner didnt work in first room so moved rooms; air conditioner...
