This was a nice hotel right in the heart of old town Lucca. On the main shopping street at the north end of town. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The hotel room was across from the Torture Museum. There are no balconies in this hotel but the windows open nicely to g

We recently spent two weeks in Italy and A Palazzo Busdraghi was our nicest hotel, chosen based on a Rick Steves recommendation. The rooms are very serene, pastel and lovely, high ceilings. You enter the hotel through a huge door on the street into a private courtyard, up one l

We actually rented the apartment that is just a few doors down from the hotel. Because we were there for only three nights, there was no maid service and we were not included in the hotel breakfast (we were ok with both of these things). The apartment was more than adequate, bu

We spent five nights here this month. It is the perfect place from which to explore Lucca. The building itself is wonderful with high ceilings, stone interiors, a fabulous courtyard and a location just in the middle of things. However the staff are also thoughtful and welcoming.

We stayed in one of the apartments. It was cool...reminded us of a 70’s decorated apartment, which we liked. It had a Rubics Cube ottoman...we thought was neat. The place was very roomy and very clean. It was on the 3rd floor, but we got used to it. Marta was super helpful w

Can I do a day trip to Pisa via bus or train? What other day trips are available? I won’t have a car.
Hallo, you really don't need a car. It's very easy to move by train or by bus. To Pisa trains are going every half an hour and will not take more than 30 minutes to arrive. Also Viareggio (on the sea) or Florence are easily reachable. We will help you then with the time table. Kind regards, Ingrid

rooms are on the first floor. Is there a lift for carrying luggage?
Unfortunately no, no lift..this is a period hotel into a medieval building, it is not possible to have a lift. But staff will help you with pleasure! Kind regards, Marta
