Lovely, semi-secluded bed and breakfast in restored Tuscan villa. Friendly and welcoming hosts who were very helpful at the villa itself and in recommending restaurants and attractions. Breakfast was a luscious feast with homemade jams, amazing cakes - way too much food but tempting nonetheless. Rooms were large with double shower and shared anteroom with couches, large dining table and...

It was our first stay when we visited Tuscany and really enjoved the atmosphere of this old Italian style villa with people very welcoming. The rooms are old style and rustic but so lovely and pleasant. The hotel is located just between Lucca and Pisa. The breakfast was really good with large range of local products and even home made...

I was ready to give this place a 6.5 or 7 out of 10, although even that was probably too generous. I arrived late at night and when I realised I had been assigned a room without a bath, I was ready to pack up and go. But mercifully the next day that was sorted out and I got by...

I stayed here with friends as we were there for a wedding in Pisa with the reception at another nearby Villa. The room we had had beautiful views over the Tuscan hills, and was very comfortable. Although the aircon had a night mode, it wasn't as quiet as expected. Breakfast was simple and plentiful, with a choice of cereals, toast...

Our stay was for one evening due to our schedule. The villa has history and grounds are lovely. The rooms are basic, but comfortable. The villa does sit on the roadside and our room was on the corner. If the windows needed to be open the road noise was audible. The bathroom was clean and seemed remodeled. The villa is...

The Villa La Perla is close to the highway, but nevertheless I heard no traffic noise and had a fine room on the ground floor. The manager was extremely helpful--the only negative was that she had to leave at 8 PM, so I had to hustle to reach the place before then.

Lovely old villa, very helpful staff who spoke good English, great value. A couple of other reviews mention the proximity to the road, but the room was very well soundproofed, so the traffic noise was not loud. One thing - a taxi from Pisa will be very expensive, either drive or get a train to Lucca and a taxi or...

Nice looking villa from 18th century but just at the side of the main road between Lucca and Pisa so there was almost continuous engine noise from the road even we were staying at the second floor, back corner room. For the travelers looking for some tranquility and better breakfast I would recommend a nearby hotel towards San Giuliano Terme...

Great house in the tuscan area, nice garden to have your breakfast in and spacious rooms. A little bit noisy because it's right near the road and you can hear the cars passing all the time; maybe the rooms that are higher and away from the road are better.
