I stayed here with friends as we were there for a wedding in Pisa with the reception at another nearby Villa. The room we had had beautiful views over the Tuscan hills, and was very comfortable. Although the aircon had a night mode, it wasn't as quiet as expected. Breakfast was simple and plentiful, with a choice of cereals, toast... More

Our stay was for one evening due to our schedule. The villa has history and grounds are lovely. The rooms are basic, but comfortable. The villa does sit on the roadside and our room was on the corner. If the windows needed to be open the road noise was audible. The bathroom was clean and seemed remodeled. The villa is... More

The Villa La Perla is close to the highway, but nevertheless I heard no traffic noise and had a fine room on the ground floor. The manager was extremely helpful--the only negative was that she had to leave at 8 PM, so I had to hustle to reach the place before then.

Lovely old villa, very helpful staff who spoke good English, great value. A couple of other reviews mention the proximity to the road, but the room was very well soundproofed, so the traffic noise was not loud. One thing - a taxi from Pisa will be very expensive, either drive or get a train to Lucca and a taxi or... More

Nice looking villa from 18th century but just at the side of the main road between Lucca and Pisa so there was almost continuous engine noise from the road even we were staying at the second floor, back corner room. For the travelers looking for some tranquility and better breakfast I would recommend a nearby hotel towards San Giuliano Terme... More

Great house in the tuscan area, nice garden to have your breakfast in and spacious rooms. A little bit noisy because it's right near the road and you can hear the cars passing all the time; maybe the rooms that are higher and away from the road are better.

When we arrived the night no one was there to welcome us. Instead they had left the keys in the mailbox. The rooms smelled like they were closed forever and the sheets were damp. The breakfast was minimal and it starts at 8:30. If you walk up earlier there is no breakfast. In fact I went to have a coffee... More

A) It was incredibly easy to find! B) The interiors were so serene against the majestic views. C) The breakfast was fabulous - the best in our 2.5wk stay, although they could have served hard boiled eggs... D) The staff was gracious & informative. Ate around the corner at a great affordable pizza place - if your not going to... More

This is a beautiful villa and you can see that there is great attention to detail in everything about this place from the moment you arrive. The room, garden, breakfast, bathroom, etc., are all tastefully and well done. But... it is located on a busy road and traffic passes literally six feet from your bed. We couldnt open the windows...
