Located in the heart of the old city within easy walking distance of shops, restaurants, and sights. Friendly staff and helpful. Limited breakfast. Room (located in the new wing ) had little appeal, but the location more than made up for it--and the new wing has an elevator).

A lot of people like this place, including Rick Steves. They must be referring to the original annex, which is charmless, shoddy, and has poor showering facilities. Access to the annex can only be achieved by first going to the lobby and rung in. The biggest problem is the parking, which is true of all of the walled town. At... More

Stayed here two nights, room was on the small size, but not unexpected given it's central location in an medievil city. It was however well furbished and the shower room of a reasonable size. There was no view from our window, we looked straight out at the opposite side off a passageway, 2 metres away. Breakfast was pretty average, the... More

We made a reservation while on the road, with very short notice, via email. Sara, the owner responded very quickly and booked us a room. When we got there one of her employees had since rented out our appointed room. I just want to document how fantastically Sara took care us (we arrived at night - now homeless). She had,... More

right in the action. Room are typical f this standard & style. Staff are pretty good. The breakfast is very average compared to the others we've stayed in, in Italy 2 of our group are staying in single rooms and they report that the rooms and the beds are very small. No complaints about the size of the doubles.

Great hotel offering good value for money. Clean, comfortable and with all important air conditioning to ensure a decent nights sleep. Breakfast was okay if not mind-blowing, but staff were attentive and friendly at all times.

At our summer biking expedition in the region of Lucca, we used Hotel la Luna as our base. This was a good choice. Nice located in the picturesque center of Lucca. Excellent service, they really took care of us in all ways. Nice room in the old-fashion stile. In the evening we were close to every thing, restaurant, entertainment etc.... More

I stayed only one night in the new part of the hotel, in November 2014. 3 years before this, I stayed in the same hotel in Lucca, but I had a room in the old part of the hotel, big and romantic. The hotel it is very central in Via Fillungo (main street of Lucca). In the season it was... More

I ended up in Lucca during a comic festival so I was just glad to have found an available room. The location IS great and the staff tried their best to accommodate a middle ground with me. On booking.com it was advertised (and booked at €41/night). I was later contacted as they made a mistake and it should've been €120/night,... More

'Good' about sums up La Luna.I did not like having my room in an other building above the garage. As we were cycling the via Francigena we had our bikes in the garage but there was very little room. There was five cars in a space that looked like it was meant for two or three. The room was fine... More
