Exclusive guest house located on the main street inside the walls of the historical city centre. Typical noble "lucchese" residence with coffered ceilings and original tiled floors. Part of the XIV century Torre del Travaglio, one of the three medieval towers of Lucca. L’Antica Bifore has four spacious matrimonial suites, La Divina, Beatrice, Dante, and Paradiso. Each is different in its architectural shape and form, with beautiful frescoes and unique pieces of period furniture. We can organise wine tasting, cookery classes and more. We can also arrange transfer for Pisa/Florence airport collections and drop offs. Please inquire at time of booking.

We stayed here during our bike packing tour and loved it. Our bikes were safe and we were right in the middle of the centre. The owners are such friendly and lovely people. Very special building and stunning rooms.

If we can express in one word our experience at the Antica Bifore it would be WONDERFUL. Historical and well cared rooms, sweet amenities provided and welcoming hosts make the place just PERFECT ! We have not been once but several time with our parents, so 2 generations have experienced the same feelings : great guesthouse at first and then, by coming over and over, the privilege to have discovered such an historical and precious place to stay in. The expectation is still the same every time, just knowing in advance it's going to be great .... AGAIN. Not to mention the couple Stefano and Brid who are just magnificent in the way they welcome you and make your stay so comfy. The best secret in town ? .... Probably. The most beautiful guesthouse in the most sought-after location – I cannot fault this place! Stefano was a wonderful host who welcomed us at check-in and talked to us about the best things to see in Lucca. The bedrooms, like the entrance/dining room, were out of this world! It was truly an immersive and wonderful experience in a beautiful city with lots to offer.

Shame on me for not doing so. IF YOU HAVE TO CANCEL FOR ANY REASON YOU OWE THE FULL AMOINT FOR YOUR STAY, 100 PERCENT NO MATTER THE REASON. Even in off season. Just be sure you want to commit to zero cancellation, no matter if you have an emergency, cancelled flight, etc. I just paid fully fir a stay I can’t use even though I tried to cancel almost a week out. Again, shame on me for not being more diligent in my booking.

Sorry no fine or small print involved. The same cancellation policy is clearly included in your booking confirmation details sent to you by our system at the time of booking. This includes our 21 day cancellation policy. You contacted us on the 19th of February to cancel which was four days before you were due to check-in.
