My husband and I spent a marvellous days in Florence years ago and La Martellina was the place where we chose to stay. We had the best host and an amazing breakfast everyday. The B&B is pretty well located and had a beautiful view. We really enjoy it and without a doubt will stay here again.

The B&B is well kept and very comfortable. The owner was very warm and waited for us till we arrived which was around 1am. All rooms had wonderful sights of the river and breathtaking views. Will definitely suggest it and will go there again! :)

We were in Florence in July 2015 and stayed at this unique property. Claudio was the best. Prior to our vacation he sent information on traveling Florence that allowed us quick access to all the sites we were interested in seeing. We only had 2 1/2 days to get our site seeing done. Not a lot of time if we... More

This place is really amazing. It is so well preserved and decorated, that one might feel like experiencing a past era. It is nice and quiet, on the bank of Arno river, a big courtyard, with decorative orange and kiwi trees. Our room was small and cozy. As we stayed during winter, in the rest of the house might be... This was our second time at La Martellina, and we can't imagine Florence without it. The B&B is perched on an old mill right on the banks of the Arno just outside of the city. It's a short bus ride into town, but you won't regret getting out of the center and having some fresh air. The breakfast is outstanding... More

The relaxing atmosphere, the meandering river, the warn stone steps leading up to the rooms...we truly enjoyed the beauty and tranquility of La Martellina. My partner and I found this place on Trip Advisor and thought it looked perfect for our 4 night stay to visit Florence and the surrounding areas. Upon booking, Claudio contacted us with details of how to get to the B&B via public transport, which was most helpful, as we were getting to Florence by train. The 14A bus runs... More
