... at the end of our 2 week honeymoon, we stayed at the Four Seasons Hotel Firenze immediately after an extended stay at Castiglion del Bosco (in Montalcino) - which we didn't want to leave ... So, Four Seasons had big shoes to fill! To say it didn't disappoint, would be an understatement. The rooms are gorgeous, the grounds are... More

Nothing short of spectacular, the venue and the staff at Four Seasons Firenze always go above and beyond expectation. I had my wedding there at the end of July and planning the wedding from the US was not easy but the wedding team at Four Seasons made every detail come to life just as I had hoped.

I've stayed in some amazing g hotels all over. Four Seasons are some of the nicest. I've stayed there on Kona, LA, Chicago, Miami, Denver, Austin, NYC. This one is the finest of them all. Beautiful park like grounds in the center of dense Florence. Amazing food. The rooms make you feel like you are staying in Versailles.

I spend over 200 nights a years in the top hotel of the world and k must say that this is the most beautiful place I ever been. Living in USA I used to stay with Windows close and AC on, this hotel is the only place I have been sleeping with the windows open. It s a paradise. It's... More

We just returned from a magical vacation in Italy. Our first stop was three nights at the Four Seasons in Florence. The grounds were gorgeous, rooms were spacious, the food was delicious and the service was great. The gym was also good. Also, loved that they had an espresso machine in the room + had a high tech set up... More

The room, the grounds, the food, the service is all 5 star. This hotel is huuge and yet, it has the service of a well managed boutique hotel. I felt like Alice in wonderland trotting through the grounds and discovering new coves all around the grounds. We were here is a scortching 35degree summer weather so the pool was EVERYTHING!... We were here four nights, two rooms. The hotel is beautiful. The lobby and public areas were really gorgeous. Among the best grounds and lobby I have ever seen. It is all done in a Roman and Renaissance motif, complete with statues and frescos. The hotel is pretty well situated within walking distance of the major sites. The Ponte Vecchio... More

So lovely to have a swimming pool to cool off in after the hot days out in Florence. However, the dining experience was very slow service although lovely friendly staff. Also the piano player/singer at the restaurant was so loud that we couldn't converse.

If you've never stayed at a Four Seasons, let me start by saying you don't pick this place because you are looking for a hotel and someplace to sleep. Salty? Yep. BUT IT IS THE FOUR SEASONS! One of the most beautiful buildings I have ever been in. The multilingual staff will do anything to make your stay easier. The... More

Staying in San Marco

Neighborhood Profile
San Marco
The pleasant atmosphere of this residential area, a stone’s throw away from the Duomo of Florence, surprises everyone. A continuous flow of backpacking students provides the tranquil surroundings for the elderly residents who sit in Piazza San Marco to read the daily newspaper. Home to several universities, including the Academy of Fine Arts, San Marco is one of the most vibrant cultural centers in the city. A bridge connecting the modern cultural activity of Florence to its classic art, represented by the everlasting magnificence of the original David, resonates as a symbol of Florence and of Italy as a whole. Get lost in a Neoclassic world, a journey back in time through historic buildings like Spedale degli Innocenti (Hospital of the Innocents), San Marco church, Basilica della Santissima Annunziata, and natural jewels like the Botanical Gardens.
