I cannot recommend this hotel enough! It is so close to everything! Especially close to the train station which was great for us as we used the train station as the meeting point for a couple of tours plus we traveled to Florence from Rome via the train. The owners were so lovely, the breakfast was SO delicious. The hotel is extremely clean and so nice. As I said before it is close to everything, yet its set back from the center of town on a very quiet, safe street. Make sure to arrange an arrival time with the hosts before you get there because the front door is locked and only accessible by key and there isn't a host there 24/7. My husband and I stayed here on our honeymoon and we had such a beautiful time.
This place is especially easy to find and a short walk from the railway station. The hosts are friendly and responsive. Our room was a generous size and spotless. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom also large. We loved the breakfast selection. I definitely recommend this hotel.
My daughter and I had the pleasure of staying at Bed and Breakfast Locanda di Mosconi for two nights in October. The B&B is located within a short walk of the train station and is convenient to all attractions in Florence. The owner was friendly and helpful showing us how to get to a tour we had planned. Our room was clean and comfortable and the bathroom was a good size although the shower was on the small side. It was fine for us but would be difficult for someone on the larger side. The breakfast was outstanding with a wide variety of sweet and savory food with delicious cappuccino, espresso or Americano available. I would recommend Locanda di Mosconi to anyone looking for a reasonably priced, comfortable, safe, clean and well-located accommodation in Florence.
Very nice Bed and Breakfast. The family who operates the B&B was very friendly. The morning breakfast was wonderful. The rooms are small but clean with daily service. No coffee or tea left in the room but there was a electric tea pot. Had a King deluxe room, it is advertised as being large enough for 2 adults and a child but that would not be possible to include a child, due to size of room. The shower drain was clogged but they did fix it . Great location, close to rail station, easy walk. Able to walk around Florence easily. Will stay again and recommend to anyone but I will try to book a larger room next time.
While it's called a BnB expect 4-star hotel-quality service. A 5-minute walk from the central train station but in a safe, quiet area with stores, ATMs and cafés nearby. Within walking distance (max. 30 minutes) of every worthwhile museum and tourist attraction. Be sure to go to Trattoria Verdi for a nice lunch and don't miss a visit to the Leather Market to pick out a purse and/or briefcase. Be prepared to negotiate - this is a sport they love and you'll save some money. We were greeted by Leonardo who spoke Italian and Spanish. He very clearly pointed out places to visit on a map, gave us a rundown on the hotel and amenities, politely answered all questions and took us to our room where he gave a thorough explanation of the A/C (each area has it's own), use of the shower emergency cord, etc. The room is very large and the bathroom too. All the toiletries were available and lots of towels. There was a kettle and a separate coffee machine with lots of coffee, tea and sugar supplies. This was the nicest hotel I've ever been in. At one point we met the owner who asked some questions and made sure we were happy with everything. We missed some places to visit in Florence and when we go back this is DEFINITELY where we will stay.…
